  • I drank my first one for lunch today and it has actually made me feel more full. I could drink just plain water, but I absolutely hate it. I have to force myself to drink it.
  • slimmingmom, Where did you get the virtual pictures of yourself? Those are sooo cool!!!
  • Thanks to everyone for the encouragement. That is exactly what I needed because I fell off the wagon for a couple weeks and I'm not going to sit and whine about it. Instead, I'm going to get out there and burn those calories, eat the right foods and be proud of myself
  • Thanks!!!!
  • My hair is naturally curly (unfortunately) and I had just left the salon, in the pic where I had it straightened. My daughter took the pic of me smiling and I took the other pic myself. I guess that's why I'm smiling in one and not the other.
  • How did you lose all of the weight? You look amazing!
  • Congratulations Memaw! That's a wonderful feeling. I love to try on things that have been hanging in the back of my closet for months and be able to comfortably wear them.
  • Congratulations!!! I'm right there with you. I weighed this morning and I've lost 20 pounds as of today as well.
  • Thanks to everyone for your encouragement, advice and support!! It's nice to know that you have friends at MFP that are cheering for you. I think once all of my Slim Fast stuff is used up, I will just start eating healthy foods. (cereal, yogurt, sandwich with whole wheat bread, lean meats, veggies, fruits). I love MFP!!!…
  • Pip, how do I set my food journal for others to see? My height: 5'4" My weight: 172 Calories consumed: 1500
  • I am on the slim fast diet. Here's a breakdown of my daily routine: Breakfast - Slim Fast Shake or Meal Bar Mid-Morning Snack - Nutri Grain Bar Lunch - Slim Fast Shake or Meal Bar with a side salad Mid-Afternoon Snack - Slim Fast Snack Bar Supper - I eat pretty much what I fix for my husband and 2 girls, except I eat in…
  • I have 35 pounds to go. I haven't lost 35 pounds. I've actually lost 15 pounds.
  • It's okay. I get sentimental when it comes to my kids and my health. Wow, what an inspiration you are. You should really think about writing a book or something. You could touch other people's hearts and lives. I will take every word you said to heart and think really hard about it. Maybe I can get my mom and dad to go…
  • Thanks for your reply. You've touched me in a way, that I can't explain. I started to cry when I read your post. I DO want to be around for my kids. I will also encourage them to be tested as they get older. The only thing is, my husband doesn't understand. He's not being very supportive of me being scared and…
  • I will be praying for you. I know it's not easy to watch a loved one die. My grandparents both died at home within 7 months of each other. It wasn't easy, but it was EASIER with the help of God.
  • I'm glad that your's came back clean. It's very scary. If I knew that I would get the "all clear," I would go tomorrow and have the test. But, I'm so worried that it's going to be bad news. My mom's ruptured when she was 40. I will be 35 this year. I guess the closer I get to 40, the more it scares me. HELP!!!!
  • Thank you for the words of encouragement. I'm so worried and confused as to what to do. I've been battling in my mind mentally for the last 12 years. I'm frustrated. Plus I have 2 daughters that I want to grow old with and I keep worrying about that. I can't enjoy life much, for worrying about the stuff. :frown:
  • Sorry to hear about your pain Memaw. The pain I have is a dull aching pain right under my breastbone in the middle of my rib cage. I'm feeling better today, but those kind of days come and go. That's why I wonder if it's gall bladder "attacks." My pain is not really a squeezing pain. It feels raw in there.
  • That sounds like me. I had an ultrasound and they couldn't find anything wrong with it or my pancreas. Thank God. But when you continue to hurt, you wonder what's wrong with you. Sometimes I wonder if it's all in my head. Maybe it's NOT functioning properly and that's what's causing the pain. I don't want to have surgery,…
  • Thanks. Right now, I feel like crap. All I had for lunch was a small bag of sun chips out of the vending machine. My stomach is still hurting really bad. It hasn't eased up a bit.
  • I certainly will. Thanks for all of your advice. :flowerforyou:
  • I'm like you, I don't want to feel like an idiot, when I go to the ER and they say they can't find anything wrong and it's gas. I may try and wait it out. If it gets much worse or I actually do start throwing up, then I will go to the ER.
  • Also forgot to mention, at one time, I was on 2 Zantac and 2 Prevacid a day. That was under a doctor's supervision.
  • It was constant yesterday. Got a little better during the evening and it's been constant ever since I woke up this morning. I'm hurting sooo bad.
  • What else could it be? I'm just miserable. Sorry for all of the whining!!!!
  • I have pain during AND after eating. Like right now, I feel hungry, but don't feel like eating because I'm hurting so bad.
  • I wanted to have the endoscopy done because I was having really bad acid reflux at the time. Bad enough where I would regurgitate my food. (Sorry TMI). I failed to mention that when they didn't find anything via endoscopy, they DID an ultrasound the next day, and said everything looked okay. I just don't understand why I'm…
  • I had an upper endoscopy done in August 2008 when I was having the same type of pain only milder, and they said everything looked fine. Would they not have found gallstones then, if that's what the problem was?
  • and how cute is roadtripfool??? [/quote] VERY!!!!!
