Hi ladies,
:flowerforyou: I started a new thread for us as Sassie stated it was getting very long. So from now on let's post to this thread until the 12 weeks are up. :drinker:
The rules from first thread
Day 1 starts tomorrow, Monday, April 13th. We'll weight in and record our starting weights and will then weigh in each Monday after that to record our progress. Not only will we concentrate on losing weight, we will work to support each other on our journey to health. We'll share tips, recipes, and motivate each other to give it our all.
To start off, here are some things to think about to set yourself up to succeed:
Eat "Clean"
The most important thing about staying healthy is to eat wholesome foods that I call "clean." These are unprocessed foods. Read the labels on your food. If there are all kinds of ingredients listed that your grandmother wouldn't recognize as food, then don't eat it. Fast foods and processed foods are loaded with hidden sugars and fats. Treat your body right and give it the kind of wholesome energy it needs to be healthy.
Plan Ahead
The most important thing you can do to lose weight is spend time planning what you are going to eat. Eating clean means you'll be doing a lot of your own meal preparation, because processed foods are full of ingredients that will undermine your progress, even if they are labeled as "diet" or "low calorie" or "low fat." Be in control of your food. If you have time to get a manicure, then you have time to grocery shop or prepare food. Each evening, prepare your lunch and snacks for the next day. If you get to a meal time and don't know what you're planning to eat, you are more likely to go off the plan and eat something convenient that is full of calories, fat and sugar. Take time for yourself. Make yourself and your food a priority. Plan ahead. It's the only way to make sure you stick to your diet.

Hey I was looking for this post in the Motivation / Support section, you may want to edit your post and tell everyone where to find the new thread.....just a thought.........HI HONEY :flowerforyou:0

Has this group already started? I was looking for a group/support, but not really sure what the rules are, who can join, etc. Seems like all of the teams are labeled with colors for the most part i.e. black, red. Not really getting this, maybe I'm a slow learner but could someone help me understand please!0

I cant beleive we are in week 6. I have been doing really well although sometimes I loose motivation because I am not seeing the weight come of fast. I know 2lbs a week is good...but I am getting anxious.
I have been jogging since Monday and I can feel the results already. I cant wait to weigh myself on Monday...I will be keeping my fingers crossed and hope that I at least I loose 1lb.
I just wanted to remind everyone that I know this weekend is going to be tough because its a long weekend....but lets try to stay focused and eat healthy and exercise.
Happy Memorial Weekend Everyone!0 -

Yes it has, we are in our 6th week. Anyone can join but it's kinda late in our team too because we are so far along. We may have a second part once we finish our first 90 days, not sure though. Your more then welcome to join if you want to now but that's up to you. We weigh-in every Monday and all we have to do is eat clean/healthy, exercise and drink our water 64oz's or more. You can post whenever you feel like it, even to vent or check-in before Monday's. Good luck.:drinker:0 -

I found ya'll. hey I weighed in Thursday and I was back down to 195. I haven't worked out that much this week do to my allergies and my new medication but i did lose even though I started those stinky steroids from my skin breaking out. I'm back on track today. I think I'm going to walk the high school track tonight. We're having some EXCELLENT weather here in St. Louis. I also want to try to be down to 190 by next Friday. It's the last day of School and I'm SO HAPPY!0

I can't believe it has been 6 weeks already!! I have wasted the past two weeks and gained 0.4 pounds overall. Not horrible, but still the wrong direction! Okay, I'm back on track.
This morning I ran a 5K and it was awesome! I was so not prepared for the difficulty of the hills and running on pavement compared to the treadmill, but I did meet my goal of finishing under 30 minutes. Barely...clocked in at 29:59. LOL Can't get much closer than that!
I also had my two older boys (6 and 9) participate in a fun run. My 6 year old won second place in his race and my 9 year old was able to run the entire three laps, so I feel like we were all successful. My husband has already said he'd like to participate next year. I'm really glad we all went this morning and feel like this was just the kick in the pants I need to get me back on track.
Our vacation to visit family (we haven't been back in over 3 years!) is also in about 6 weeks and I'm going to try to lose 10 more pounds before then. There's no way I'll hit the 30 pounds but I'm okay with that.
Okay, off to copy my weigh in post so I can update it here!0 -

Good job to all. I am not weighing in until tomorrow we did a quick trip to Colorado> We left last night and drove 13 hours to get home. Most of that time was pouring rain. I probably have 15 pounds of coffee, diet coke and sunflower seeds in me from the all night drive. Trying to drink lots of water today and get the South Beach Diet back on track after 5 days a hanging out with the in-laws. Some meals it was impossible to eat right....the choices offered were not always good plus the only exercise I got was about 30 mins of swimming and a 15 minute walk. Talk to all again in the morning.0
