I try to do more veggies than fruit so if you are looking for a tasty green drink here is my fave go to. It's really good for you after a work out, restores B6 and is very hydrating. Great for muscle restore too. Spinach - 1 cup Celery -`1 stalk Cucumber- 1 persian Ginger- 1 tsp Green apple- 1/3 Add water to make it…

I was pregnant at my highest weight and lost the first 20 rather quickly. But I wasn't used to my new body and didn't get any satisfaction out of my weight loss until I had lost the 65 I gained. Now I am down 90 pounds and people are constantly telling me I look fantastic and I'm starting to get called skinny which feels…

Hi Nikie, Hi Milstu. I am a 31 year old mother of a 17 month old boy Jackson. I was around 200 pounds when I got pregnant and got up to 265 at the end of my pregnancy. I was so uncomfortable, had many health issues and problems related to being overweight and pregnant. My son was born colic and had acid reflux and I blamed…

Interesting. I use my HRM primarily for tracking my walking and it's calculations line up closely with MFP's calculations so I think with my monitor it is pretty darn accurate in terms of low intensity exercises. Although my walks are at a brisk pace so I don't know if that is technically low intensity. I just did my TDEE…

I'm wanting to lose weight. I have my calorie goal set at 1628 or something right around there.

I would love to. I've hit such a plateau that at the moment it doesn't seem possible but I know what I need to do. I've lost 76 pounds so I know HOW I just need to DO it. So what's the plan? Check in with each other weekly?

Wow that is quite a transformation. Thanks for sharing your success!

I am no professional but have learned a lot through the years via reading articles and talking to professionals. This is my humble opinion.. your body is sore because your muscles have been worked and therefore have tiny tears in them. The tears are a good thing but you want to rest them to allow them to repair before you…

Oh gosh I am terribly sorry to hear that. I can not imagine losing my brother. Grieving is extremely exhausting. It takes over your whole body. I lost my dad unexpectedly when I was 22 and it took a long time to go through the process. Be gentle on yourself. Try to make the best decisions you can around food because it…

I would find out what your body fat % is and work on that number rather than the scale. Yes I know the doctors all love the BMI chart but they can't argue if you are out of range on the BMI but have a healthy body fat ratio. I am 192 pounds currently. My body fat is 40%. I want it to be 20%. According to the BMI I should…

You look great! Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your success!

Hopefully this works, apologies if not. Me pregnant and roughly 265 pounds and me now at 194. Lots of walking, yoga, weights and diet of course. I hope to lose another 50-70. OK I clearly do not know how to post pics but you can add me and see them in my profile!

AMEN to that! That is someone who knows what they are doing.

Semi new mom here! I have a nine and a half month old. I have worked off the baby weight but I was overweight to begin with and want to shed that weight before I try for number two. I exercise daily and eat right MOST of the time. I like sweets and since I never indulge in an alcoholic beverage I consider it my trade off.…

960 days of doing it one day at a time right?! Great job and good info. Thanks for sharing. You are right, it's no secret and it doesn't happen overnight.

I second that, make your food diary public and keep it public. Even if you don't eat clean for a meal or a day it's a great way to stay accountable and may make you reconsider a food choice because you know we'll be watching ;) A plateau is normal and part of most people's weight loss journey. Have you recently dropped…

That is fantastic progress! You are an inspiration. I love your attitude too. I need to read people's success stories like yours to keep my momentum going so thanks! Keep up the good work, you are well on your way to getting to your ultimate goals.

I don't buy ice cream, cookies, chips, crackers, candy, etc. for the simple fact that if I do I eat too much. I have come to find that what works for me is that if I want a particular junk food I have to go out and buy a single serving of it. Often times what happens is I think about the process of having to go out for it…

Good for you! You took action and it's paying off. I can't wait to weigh 181. I'm hoping to get there by September. I think I can I think I can I think I can!

Fast food is addicting. If there aren't chemicals in it that make it addicting (I am sure there are but I don't know for a fact) then the simple sugars/simple carbs are DEFINITELY addicting. So the more you eat it the more you crave it. It's a cycle that has to be broken. I used to have bouts of binge eating where I would…

That is fantastic! You're a yummy mummy  I too had a baby in September and have been dieting religiously since February. I gained 65 pounds and only have another 7 to go till I am at pre-pregnancy. But that was 200 pounds... so needless to say my goals go beyond that. I would KILL to be 173 pounds! You look…

If you have an addictive nature around sugar/flour/alcohol/drugs, then yes abstinence is really the way to control your intake. Like a lot of people have said, I will up my exercise for certain treats. Like this moring for example, I wanted a doughnut (first one in years but not my first treat in years) so I worked out A…

EVERY time I leave the gym I think "I'm going to use that damn sauna next time" and I repeatedly forget to bring the right gear. So, I have to thank you for the thread PP. When I have used the saunas in the past it made that post workout "high" last longer. And yes, glowing skin is always a big plus in my book!

YUM! That turned out great, and it was your first attempt?! You might need to open a sushi place out there!! I could eat sushi everyday if I could afford it. I love sashimi and sushi. It's not a bad thing to love either

You are a GREAT example of what it means to persavere. Thank you for motivating me! :flowerforyou: By the way you look amazing!!!

YUM! And you could play with the fixings too. I like bell pepper, feta, spinach and onion

Wow!!!

EGGS, or what I do is lots and lots of egg whites. I make omlettes, wraps, no crust quiches. They're versatile. Greek yogurt also has a lot of protein and is dessert like. I like to mix in fresh blueberries and a little low fat granola. Protein shakes are one way to do a quick fix. I throw in whey or vegetable protein…

I used to binge eat to numb out. I would have complete blackouts (like alcohol blackouts) after a binge. It was something that slowly over time I was able to change. I can't offer a quick fix because it wasn't like that for me. I started recognizing the urges and trying to replace the behavior with a healthier one. Sounds…

Wow! You look like a new person. You were and are beautiful.
