Excellent!! it's taken me six years so far to lose 80lbs and I am not done yet - it's a life long change for me and losing slowly means I will keep it off and have less loose skin than I would have had if I lost it all too quickly. Having said that, my portion sizes have changed considerably over the years and most…

Love this!!!! :-) I had no choice a number of years ago but to go low carb due to arthritis - sugar and starchy foods push me into a flare up which can last for a couple of weeks at a time, alcohol has the same effect. I changed my lifestyle to include exercise and slowly switched to a balanced, healthy low carb diet, and…

Lol, I love this! One of the reasons I avoid Coke and Diet Coke is because I used to use it to clean the terminals on my car battery years ago! I had a little Beetle and whenever the battery gave me a hard time I would just pour the stuff on the terminals and watch it eat away at the battery acid - figured if it would do…

I had my first child at 19 and had all three my kids by the time I was 26! It was hard work but I wouldn't change it for the world, my boys are grown up, out of the house and married, I have a beautiful one year old granddaughter and I'm still young enough to have a life and realy enjoy some of the things I missed out on…

I'm in!! When I first started on my journey 5 years ago I was a size 20 / 22 (UK) and my goal was to get to 14. When I got to a size 14 I thought if I get to a 12 I'd be happy but now that I am a size 12 I still have some fat that I need / want to lose - so size 10, here I come!!! Only problem is, those last few pounds are…

I personally will take any compliment and words of encouragement that come my way - I have worked damn hard to get where I am and love it when people are nice enough to notice and comment - even if I haven't seen them in 5 years and they haven't been part of the journey!!! Every tiny bit of encouragement spurs me on to…

One word - terrified!!! I am 48 in a couple of months and it's taken me 5 long years and hard slog to get to where I am now! I will come back later with some of my history and stats.

Lol  Hungry = grumpy Seriously though, I do gree with the OP, it seems more and more posts on here are negative and counter productive. The whole reason I came on here was because I thought I'd found a community of people who understood a little of what I was going through. Freedom of speech and all that aside,…

I am a hopeless flirt and have definitely been getting more attention!!! I told my husband about it and he said 'enjoy it, you should be proud of yourself!'. It is such a confidence booster but it will never lead to anything more because I love my husband dearly, he knows it, we are both completely secure in our…
