Me too! Request sent! :)

What worked for me last time, and what I am trying again is to keep my calories to 1200 per day and exercise lightly daily. I eat low sugar and low carb in an effort to reduce my blood sugar (pre-diabetic). I'm eating nearly the same kinds of food as I did last time I lost all the weight, and it's going well so far! Feel…

Hi Ashley! I sent you a request. Would love to have a friend with similar goals as me!

I think the first few days of getting back on track are the hardest, but once our bodies adjust to smaller meals and specific meal and snack times, the hunger eases. At least in my experience, that's how it happened. Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like. I share my diary with friends, so we can compare meals and…

Here is the recipe how I ended up making it for a crowd with some changes: 6 cucumbers sliced thinly with a mandolin, salted and sweated 1 red onion sliced thinly with a mandolin 1.5 cups rice wine vinegar 3/4 cup water Instead of sugar, used 8 packets of Splenda (which is half of what the Splenda conversion chart…

Thanks, everyone! I'm giving it shot, but using half the recommended Splenda packets. I've always had cucumber salad with a vinegar/sugar dressing, so I'm used to it being a bit sweet. I hope this turns out!

I agree! It's the best tasting diet cola and tastes the most like regular Coke to me. I also really like Diet Grapefruit sodas (Diet Squirt and generics) and Diet Mug Root Beer. As far as diet sodas go, they're pretty good! I've found for me that Diet Pepsi and Diet Dr. Pepper have the aspartame aftertaste I don't really…

Wow! Well done! You look so fit and strong. Congrats on reaching your goals.

Sticking to 1200 calories a day while still allowing room for an evening glass or wine or cocktail. :) I walk daily and would like to add in more physical activity also.
-
Thanks! I hope to lose it all in three to four months, which I consider short term. Long term, I'd like to keep it off this time. :) Staying under my calorie goal of 1200 daily is the plan. I'm not following any special diet, but I am trying to keep sugars low.

I hope to be able to lose the 20 - 25 pounds by October or November. I'm trying to stay at around 1200 calories a day staying within recommendations on the app (and under 25 grams of sugar). My boyfriend and I walk our dogs for about 30-45 minutes daily, but I'd like to add more bike riding tome to that. I'm not following…

I lost over 20 lbs on MFP two and a half years ago, then gained it all back last summer. Yikes! I'm 33 and back at it. I'd love to have another friend!

I am so proud of you! You have done an amazing job and look fantastic. I have to say my favorite pic is the one of you at the 5k! You look so healthy and strong! I'm happy to have you as a MFP friend! Such a great support to everyone. Keep it up!

I got the top at Walmart a couple of years ago. They have pretty cute stuff sometimes!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments and feedback. :) I'm glad it's helpful to some of the newbies. Here's a little more about how I did it: I was really good about exercise the first few months. I'd say I used the elliptical 3 or 4 times a week for 15 to 45 minutes each time and went on walks with the dogs. Nothing…

I think everyone's suggestions are great so far. :) I just want to give my personal input. I've managed to lose the weight while still enjoying drinks and good food a couple nights a week. If you keep yourself under control 5 or 6 nights a week, going crazy on occasion won't destroy all your efforts. If I wasn't able to…

With all the great changes you're making for yourself lately, your 40s are probably going to be your best years yet! You're getting healthy, and you're working towards goals in other areas of your life too. You have a lot of friends who love you and support you! Try not to think of the age (it doesn't matter) . . . just…

Just realized I should clarify since my profile says I joined in February. I made an account then never used the site. I've been actually using it for a week now as of tomorrow, and I love it! :)
