It looks like a few people were going to try adding some protein powder to raise the protein content, any feedback? How much did you put/replace? I will probably try adding an egg or an egg white.

Bump Would like to know as well

Eat more but how much more? Do you guys think we should eat at least our BMR? My BMR is 1350, TDEE 1850. MFP always puts me on a 1200 calories diet. I had set my goal manually at 1400 and was targeting 1200 (I always set a bit higher as I don't like seeing the red color, a psychological thing, it makes me feel like being…

I did try to make one without cheese (there are so many damn calories in cheese!). It was basically cauliflower, 1 egg and herbs. Tasted like a cauliflower omelette to me. I am guessing even with the cheese in it is probably tastes like a cauliflower/cheese/herbs omelette. It tasted good but not worth the trouble in my…

There is so much you can do at home!! I wish I had more free time and I would do arts and crafts. Or spend more time cooking really healthy and tasty meals. I love Pinterest! So many ideas for projects. Good place for fitness inspiration as well. Do you suffer from anxiety? Social anxiety? Maybe that is why you avoid…

I would still do it. I have always heard that it is good to vary your workouts as much as possible. I really like 30 ds, I think you can get benefit from it even if you can't do it every day. If you already workout a lot maybe jump to level 3 and do it as often as you can.

So I went to buy my first greek yogurt today. Holly carp! There was so many different brands and kind!!!! I almost froze in the aisle trying to decide which one to pick. Ended up choosing Stonyfield organic OIKOS vanilla. 80 calories, 11g protein, 8g sugar (can't do sweeteners, hate the taste and they make me sick) and 0g…

I hate yogurts and have been avoiding them for years. My nutritionist said I could just replace them by milk or cheese. You just convinced me to give Greek yogurt a try!!

My profile pic! DISCIPLINE is just choosing between what you want NOW and what you want MOST and If you want something you've never had then you've got to do something you've never done.

Here is a really good summary of why cardio won't help you as much as you think and what other things you can do at the gym or at home to help with weight loss http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2010/02/01/what-burns-more-calories-cardio-intervals-or-weight-training/ If you build muscle you will increase you metabolism and…

Bump. We can't be only 2!!!!

I really wish the tracker would include these calories when you scan an item. I think I'm getting a bit OCD with calorie counting lol!
-
That's really good to know, I think they should say how many calorie is one spray even if it is 0.1 so that we can calculate what we get in the end. Even if you enter that you have used 10 sprays on mfp it still says 0. That shouldn't happen.

I hate cooking so I buy things that I can prep a meal with very quickly. Frozen veggie burgers are my favorite. With publix french hamburger roll, lots of baby spinach, a slice of cheese and some low sugar ketchup. I always have healthy snack like fiber one brownies or nature valley protein bars. I also always have frozen…

Mine is open to my friends. Anyone feel free to add me as I am always looking for new meal ideas. My calorie goal is 1200-1400.
-
Thanks for all these great ideas  . I will definitely use them in the future.

A protein shake or bar would be good. Add a banana to the shake. Make it nice and cold with ice cubes. It's easy to slowly sip something even if you are not hungry.
-
Same problem here. I looked at potassium supplementation but each pill is only 3% of daily recommended value. Even eating a banana won't really bump it up. Not sure what to do either.
-
I will definitely do that next time I go to the gym. I have learned so much from reading the nerdfitness website today!! Thanks for the link!
-
THANKS!!!! This is making me rethink my exercise plan completely. Is it still efficient to do some elliptical if we pick the program that alternates low and high resistance?
-
anyone else??
-
Thanks! It makes sense now. I think I will get the supplement and just take a low dose.
-
Fiber one brownie and milk or water I add a tsp of peanut butter if hungry or going to workout.

It looks like almost everyone takes fish oil supplement, do you really feel a difference? Also, by tracking my food I have realized that I get very little potassium in every day. And I'm not fan of bananas. So I looked at potassium supplements and each pill is only 3% of daily recommended intake. Anyone know why it is so…
