• ^^^ This! I'm guilty of saying it, but typically I look at the diary(if open) to see how they do on a typical day. When I first started back to MFP I was VERY restrictive.. I was craving things simply because I new I could "have" it. I've since changed my method to IIFYM, and I find myself feeling less restricted and I do…
• Doing this method I would only get 75g of carbs... If I did this I'd have to reduce my carbs in half.. I'm losing weight. I work out 5-6 days a week, strength 2-3 of those. To the best of my knowledge I'm not losing muscle, so I'll stick to what is working. Should it stop working then I shall consider this. I appreciate…

• So I weight 187.8lbs, that would be 154g of Protein 75.12g of fat and just fill in the remaining calories with carbs? Hmm... Ok.

• Not the cycle, I'm on a 40-50 day cycle right now so it isn't due for another 4 weeks. As I lose weight it is getting closer together, but even if I were on a normal cycle it wouldn't be due for another 2 weeks. I wish it were a kick *kitten* work out, but I've been sick the last week. I've been taking it pretty easy…

• I'm 38lbs away from my Goal, but I am focusing on BF. I want to be about 25% or less so I will adjust from there (if need be).
• Ok then. Thank you.

• Most days I feel good. On days like today where I'm having a hungry day I wonder.

• Has he ever tired turkey to know he doesn't like it? I substituted it once and didn't tell my now ex-husband. He ate it no issues. Asked him later and he said it was good. I don't suggest blindly forcing him to eat turkey, I just knew my husband and he was full of crap that he didn't like it. I've been cooking healthy now…
• ^^^^ Love this.. I only log my "plain water" and very rarely drink anything but water.
• I would say it is a little fast . You are averaging about 2.4 lbs a week, you shouldn't do more than 2, but when you have so little to lose, it is more healthy to lose slowly. I would adjust to lose just 1lb a week, and if you work out eat back at least half of your calories. MFP over estimates burns so you could do more…
• When I was my heaviest (275lbs) I was hardly ever truly hungry, I ate because I wanted to or was bored. I decided to log everything I ate one day (not on MFP) and realized I was drinking my calories and eating so bad, I thought I ate alright, not the best I knew it could be better but thought it was ok. I cut the soda and…

• For me I set a goal weight where I felt most comfortable, also was the lowest weight I had reached while dieting and exercising. My ultimate goal is to have a healthy body fat, so once I get to my goal weight I will re adjust, if need be, to get to the healthy body fat range.
• The scale can be our worst enemy in trying to get healthy. What is most likely happening is you are losing fat and gaining muscle. Take measurements and pictures, use the scale as a guide, or hide it all together. A healthy lifestyle is the goal right? Weight loss is a side effect of that life style. Stay the course.
• ^^^This... Make sure your activity level is active, and MFP should take that into account for your calories. IMO I would only log if you are exercising to exercise. If that makes sense.
• I personally take offense to your post. I can't speak for everyone here, I can only speak for myself and what motivated me. That being said, looks do not fix marriages, unless you are shallow I suppose. People fall out of love for MANY reasons. Be it different opinions, goals, etc... And for the record when my husband…
• I went thru a divorce 3 years ago after starting my weight loss journey. I'm also an emotional eater. I found that the lack of control in my personal life as motivation to control one thing in my life. I also found the thought of looking good if/when I saw him as motivation, I wanted him to regret leaving me. Don't get me…
• ^^This.. 64oz isn't going to give you water intoxication. Water intoxication mostly occurs when water is being consumed in a high quantity without giving the body the proper nutrients it needs to be healthy. (wikipedia) I drink anywhere from 1.5-2 gallons of water a day... I have never had water intoxication, If you eat…
• I do soda water, I'm pretty sure that's what everyone is talking about. Soda water is just carbonated water, the lime adds some flavor so it's not horrible. if you get a flavored vodka you don't notice it as much. Takes a little to get use to, but the results are the same.
•
Well, if you ate somewhere around 5500 calories/day without exercising, you could achieve a real 5 pound gain. You probably didn't, so it's probably mostly water. Regardless, the only thing you can change is what you do next. So keep on keeping on.
^^^^This The alcohol dehydrates you and eating out has so…
• Great NSV!!!
• How awesome!! I think one of the few times we can congratulate on such an amazing gain!!! :) Here's to a lifetime of happiness!
• Anyone looking for supportive friends feel free to add me. I log everyday, even if its an indulgence!!!
• Indeed. I have so many clothes that I bought when I got down to 150 in 2012.. I have some clothes I haven't worn and some that I wore once or twice. It really is like shopping and not spending money. I'm going to hang some of the outfits up and try them on periodically! I can't wait to get these last 40lbs off!
• WOHOO!!! Absolutely take it! My hubby has commented on the fact that sex is better now, followed immediately by not that it was bad.. LOL. I'm more involved, I feel more comfortable in my skin. His words last night, you can wear that anytime you want! So, yes... I do think I shall prance around the house in my lingerie and…
