  • My dad does this as well. He brags about how fit he is and how he has a personal trainer and then calls me fat and tells me to move more. Except that I have a personal trainer as well and I exercise quite a lot so I finally got tired of it and challenged him to a day at the gym-- weightlifting followed by a run. I really…

  • Bless this thread.
  • Thanks for the encouragement! I know it's possible but I feel like I'm not in the right headspace, and obviously I need to get there!
  • Yes please! I've been on here years but most of my friends are gone from here. They didn't make it. I intend to beat the odds, so I need some new friends!
  • This place is amazing for both support and info for low supply moms: https://www.facebook.com/groups/IGTmamas/
  • I have low milk supply. For 6 months postpartum I ate and ate (while on Domperidone) and never grew my supply, but did grow my waist line. Finally I decided formula was better than gaining back all the weight I had previously lost, so I started losing weight (1400 calories a day and I am 5'7" and 270 lbs.). Viola! My milk…
  • I peed during my workout yesterday and kept working out, hoping no one would notice...
  • Wow you are an inspiration! You look so fit and healthy.
  • I'm at 275 lbs myself and while I don't kill myself over macros, I do track them. When I want a snack, I can look at my macros and see where I am lacking (almost always protein), but it's also teaching me to eat right. I could just restrict calories and lose weight but I also want to learn to eat a good mix of foods.
  • Jan 2~ Just for today I will: Log everything I eat.
  • One thing that did help me is if I wake up and feel very awake, I eat a banana and drink a glass of water, and just having something in my stomach seems to make it easier to go back to sleep. That being said, I'm still struggling with aches and pains and last night I slept with two pillows under my head and two pillows…
  • I just want to moan about how hard it is to sleep now. Right side: reflux. Left side: hip pain. Back: can't breath. And now my back is starting to hurt all the time.

  • Thanks to excruciating RLP I had to stop around 22 weeks. Now even walking I get RLP and BH and get very uncomfortable.
  • I think it's fine, as long as: 1.) As you said, you aren't trying to eat a low number of calories. You just happen to not be needing more. 2.) If you have a day/week/month where you are hungry and your body is asking for more, you give it that. I had a very low appetite for a while and then every once in a while I would…
  • I hit 28 weeks yesterday! There are so many of us in this same range. I passed my glucose challenge yesterday yay!
  • Spoke to the midwife and she believes (and convinced me as well) that it's Braxton Hick + RLP happening at the same time after about 20 minutes of walking. She said a support belt will probably help yonks, but since I don't have the money for one right now instead today I went to the pool. I was able to swim some laps and…
  • I have another appointment tomorrow so I'll talk to my doctor again. I guess even 10 minutes of very slow walking is better than being on the couch, thanks for the encouragement! It just feels like nothing as I was even still running a couple months ago.
  • This past month of March was a big one-- 6 pounds up for a total of 11 pounds. Nov 1 - 248 Dec 1- 250.5 Jan 1- 249 Feb 1- 251.5 March 1 - 253 April 1 - 259 I just need to control what happens from here on out because third trimester and I know I will put on weight but I don't want to gain 6 pounds every month!

  • I just went on a very slow (toddler speed) 20 minute walk, and in the last 5 minutes I was so crampy and nauseous. So apparently even a 20 minute walk is just too much. So frustrating!
  • I think I gained about 15 lbs with my first. It was all gone the day after delivery. But I was already 250lbs before pregnancy so I definitely didn't need more than that.
  • I'm on the East Side of St. Paul and totally interested. I'm already no meetup so if you just tell me the group name I'll check it out. I'm entering the 3rd tri with my 2nd child though but I would still like walks and stuff. I'm a member at Maplewood Community Center though.
  • I definitely want to get a good milk supply first, then maybe slowly lower the calories. I will try to exercise but I don't think I can for a while because the gym daycare won't take babies under 6 weeks. I have a toddler though so I will go on walks with him and the baby.
  • Thanks! Especially for the first one. I had major milk supply issues with my first and never was able to EBF, but I really want to try again and I cannot afford anything that would jeopardize my milk supply since it's very borderline.
  • I think this might be going on in my case too. My first appointment was at 12 weeks and I was a bit down from my pre-pregnancy weight. Not as far down as the doctor is saying, but a couple pounds.

  • My doctor says I gained 15 but according to my info I have gained 5.5. I feel like the doctor is trying to scare me?

  • I definitely see and appreciate your point, however it's my DOCTOR that's pushing me to gain ZERO POUNDS (I'm already up a few so there goes that) and who wants me to monitor my eating very closely because she is afraid of my gaining too MUCH weight or getting gestational diabetes. There are just as many serious side…
  • I have yogi mom-to-be and it's in the mix but the mix tastes mostly like mint.
  • I only had 2 couples at my shower for my first and their gifts were an ItzBeen and a baby monitor. The shower to me was definitely not about the gifts but about hanging with my best friends before hanging with friends becomes more complicated.
