You'll find a lot of wonderful information and support on this site. After some research you'll find a plan of attack that works for you. But one little tid-bit that might help is something that I do. I have about 100lbs to lose...and I understand the overwhelming feeling that comes with that. So I have split everything up…

I just had to double check the name of this site....thought I'd made a wrong turn.

Thank you Joan for starting this and for letting me know how to find my way back. Today I will: 1. Exercise 2. Log my day 3. Remain positive

Hi Sherry. I've been doing this for a bit with mfp and going to the gym. I started at 275lbs and I know it all can feel a bit daunting. But this site is a great support system and it can offer accountability. Friend request sent. Good luck!

OMG.....so inspiring! I'm 47 as well, with over 100 lbs to lose. Thank you for sharing.

It's happened to me and I've moved. I guess I've never considered that I may be offending anyone.....more preoccupied with the fact that I'm offended by stank!

Great suggestions from all....I'm sure you'd agree. I started out at 275lbs. I'm 5'8". I joined a gym and got myself a PT. I didn't care about being overweight and going to the gym, I did care however about looking stupid using equipment. So for me, the PT was beyond awesome. As far as other gym goers, no problem there.…

I noticed that your sodium is really high. I learned that myself through my trainer. A person only uses 1500mg of sodium a day...so try to stay within that. By the way, it's really hard. I try to stay within that, but if I go to 2000mg....it's ok, at least it's not 4-5000mg like I was. I was shocked at how much better I…

Beautiful!, thank you for sharing.

Family!....can't live with or without 'em. And family's brutal honesty can't get a bit much. Having said that, you look perfect on the right and apparently there are 8 pages of posts that agree. So what is that?, about 100 to 3...majority rules! Congratulations on your healthy new life and body....you look amazing.

Thank you for sharing. Much has happened for you in the past year, and you are the one to blame. You story and pics are so inspiring. Congratulations!!!!

Feel free to add me:smile:

I find toned-fit people inspiring. This is a ridiculous policy. I'm 100lbs over weight and work out, side by side, with very fit, toned and athletic people. They're not bothered by me and I'm not bothered by them...we're all just doing our thing!

Wine! Just spent 7 hours with my mother...

Sounds like a NSV to me. The way you're now looking at food and intake is a wonderful achievement, not to mention your outlook. So healthy and realistic to say, "yup...went over, but it was fun and delicious....now back to it!" That's how people are successful. Good for you!

Beautiful! You look amazing. Congratulations-good for you.

What a difference! Good for you and congratulations!

Anything rated 5 stars from Allrecipes.com will be amazing! I've been using this site for over 8 years and have never been disappointed. Good luck!

I do! I got a trainer to help me learn how to exercise, how to use machines and weights and my own body. When I go to the gym without my trainer, I do the things she's taught me and I just do my thing. It seems to me that everyone is just doing their thing. I've even had words of encouragement from others working out. At…

Beautifully said! I can so relate to everything you said. Thank you for sharing.

I just wasn't satisfied.....

First of all, this is my favorite story I've read on this site. Secondly, you look amazing....healthy and happy! My favorite part was how you started with 5 minutes of exercise daily. Just 5 minutes! And how that snowballed into where you are now. Congratulations on your new lease on life. And your hard work and diligence…

I don't like eating meat when it's in the shape of the animal it came from. Thanksgiving for example; the turkey should be brought to the table in slices on a platter; not placed on the table in the shape of a bird. Also, constantly referring to thanksgiving centerpiece as the "bird" while it's cooking or "carcass" when…
