i need to admit, i really get jealous of meat eaters being able to go anywhere and eat anything whereas we have to be super flexible and just realize we probably won't be eating something enjoyable (in public...like at restaurants or in workplace meetings etc). And still meat eaters complain when the food is not perfect…

I think not eating (which this is a variant of) does certainly work for a couple pounds, but its generally not worth it long term. So it takes 3 weeks to healthily drop the weight you'll lose by starving for a week.....not worth it I think?

optimal would be 3 and 3, but if you feel like an extra day, take it. never risk injury just for sake of hobbling through the week because it could side-track you...

cool recipe - but I totally get bummed when people call these kind of things "pancakes" when they should be calling it an "omelette"....but I understand that this may not be as appetizing (lol - banana omelette)!!

actually there is some evidence that this resets your body. but there are alot of different plans - currently I am not doing a cheat meal, and am good, but I could foresee adding it into my schedule if I need a change up.

great job man - I also yo-yoed a bit...it happens when you stop paying attention (and usually more when you base your loss on more not eating than lifestyle changes)....this time I need to remember that this weight loss maintenance will be an ongoing (possibly lifetime) thing. keep it up!!

Not just that - but I personally don't want a freaking 5 year plan to lose all the weight (I have lost 47, have probably 40 to go)....I need this to end at some point so I can get into maintenance mode and live a normal life. yeah - its giving me JAVA PLUGIN problems lol. I think my takeaway is just going to be over-estimating my required deficit. so instead of 1000 cals daily, I'm making it 1200-1300 (mostly from extra exercise).

i think that sounds ok - its more on the low carb side, but eating chicken and broccoli sounds pretty healthy....I'd add some avocado or nuts or something for a little healthy fat, but this make sense. and there's a whole school of thought that says to keep your diet very simple so that you don't confuse yourself with…

I'm tempted to try this for ghits and shiggles....its too wacky. I especially love the "don't substitute, this is a chemically based regimen".....who knows, I'm not a biochemist....but my guess is this is just a very low calorie diet, with some peanut butter, meat and ice cream thrown in to keep you happy.

the amount is so small.... meaning the amount of extra burn you get per extra muscle is negligible? I think that is what I read too. Its still good for you but burning calories and eating less overall is what gets the fat off.

i think just do what works for you. My rules of thumb are that natural is better than chemical. Moreover, calories/nutrients from natural foods (like fruit) is always ok. That being said, if you are counting calories (or a specific nutrient), then as natural food is still real food made up of real chemicals and nutrients,…

thanks guys - great points! basically this mirror's my thinking - that even though the numbers should work regardless of activity (or no activity), having some activity (particularly a combo of strength and cardio) is the best way to maximize not only health but long term fat loss/body composition
