  • I'll try and figure out how to add here, haven't done that yet. Anyhow. I did a half-marathon walk last October and didn't really have enough time to train and wasn't watching my food, so I did okay but not great. I decided, I'd give myself a break over the holidays and then really start training in January and be good…
  • One more vote for this being a valid reason on the ladies' list of reasons to lose weight. If only it were as easy as L-ing our A's off. I hope you have other reasons on your list, too, but that is a tremendous motivator. Caution- if it's been a long time since you two have seen each other, you may have to extend a little…
  • LOL. I read a weightwatchers magazine yesterday and I was hungrier after I read it because of all the yummy recipes in there. How sad is that!?! yes. it's normal. I find I have to take it sooooo slowly the first few weeks because I am ravenous and if I feel like I'm being deprived I just overdo it or I give up-- so just…
  • It's that borderline that finally scared me into getting healthy-- and it's sooooo awesome you've hit that goal and are now on the other side! Very, very well done! :flowerforyou:
  • well done!!! and that is so great that you have some inspirational goals to work towards, in the past that's worked well for me-- I should do it again. congrats!!!:flowerforyou:
  • :noway: that's incredible!! very impressed. I think I'd pass out if I lost that much that fast-- and good for you for finding what works to keep you feeling satisfied. my metaphorical hat off to you! great job!:flowerforyou:
  • are you kidding?! 2.8 is fantastic!!! sending a pat on the back for you. congrats. and keep logging that food-- it's the only thing that keeps me on track-- I can nibble the whole house away if I don't track it-- there's something about knowing you've just chomped up your last calories for the day... anyhow. fully meant to…
  • 2.2lbs down! I really didn't expect to have such a good success the first week, first weeks can be soooo hard- and I think I need to give a little credit to the possible pms-bloating that may have padded the initial weigh-in (had forgotten that when I weighed that day)-- but, hey, a loss is a loss and I will take it and do…
  • sounds to me like you're in the middle of the "it sucks". I can sooo relate. I tried to start eating better about 6 months ago and I just couldn't make the math work- my kids+stress+eating right-- it really was too much right then. don't be afraid if you need to take a hiatus. it doesn't mean you're giving up- it means…
  • :embarassed: just found it... nevermind.
  • Generally , I have a few precious moments to log in- and sometimes I have a question that I'm trying to find an answer for- and I hate to ask the same question someone else asked 4.387 times already-- is there a way to search the boards? I don't see a search box anywhere-- but I might just be overlooking it. thanks for any…
  • I think whether it's 10lbs or 50lbs it always feels like a mountain to get across-- you'll meet your goal like we all will, one pound (or half, etc) at a time. You can do this. You've already got your head where it needs to go, your body will follow. good luck!! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Calorie Counter
  • Hi & Welcome!! I'm sort of in the opposite boat where I've just not been ready before now and for the past few months my dh has been losing weight and working hard- so I've felt guilty for holding him back (trying not to sabotage his eating) even though I couldn't make the change yet. So- there's hope. At least my dh…

  • Hi all. Not sure how often I'll be about the boards, but I thought I'd say hello. I decided that it was time (well past time, honestly) to get serious about excavating myself from all this excess. I stay at home w/ my three children. I am an excellent excuse-maker and need something like MFP to help me stay accountable. I…
