  • I'm on day 43 of power 90 and have lost MANY inches (I'm down 1 pant size and 2 dress sizes) but only lost 5 pounds. I started power 90 by doing doubles the first 18 days- I'd do cardio 1-2 every morning and in the evening I would alternate cardio 1-2 with sculpting 1-2. I've tried different things to try to kickstart my…
  • To my teammates, evidently I'm blind and it's team 12 not 10... my not bright moment of the day...
  • That sounds REALLY good and I just made a big batch of roasted red pepper hummus... I'd call that fate :)
  • I'm just over 5'10 and built like a line backer, all ribs and hips. My husband claims it's a good thing because it gives me an hourglass figure. But, I despise tube tops and halter tops because they make me look so misshapen and terrible on my giant rib cage... I suck at loading pictures in posts, but I have the only…
  • I always say losing weight is first in the mind. You need to be determined and have control. If you're like me, once I've made up my mind that I'm going to do something no one and nothing can stop me. KNOW you're losing the weight. KNOW you're succeeding! Be sure to always make the best choice in any situation and nothing…
  • D5L1 competed for the day :) I do have to report a NSV.... Today my jeans from last summer fit again. Not only did they fit, but they're loose! No muffin top, loose on the thighs, and I've got a saggy butt!!!! I actually weigh almost 8 pounds MORE now than I did then, but jeans don't lie. Toning and firming is already…
  • Bring it on day 5! I'm ready for you. Last night I was actually able to do the entire workout but I can't do a real pushup yet. "Yet" being the key word. My hubby stuck around during my work out and commented on how well it's put together. He couldn't believe something that's only 20 minutes long could actually cause a…
  • I've gotta ask. Is anyone else noticing their weight raising in the first few days? I'm on day 4 and my food intake has remained the same at 5 small meals/snacks and 1 bit larger for dinner - 1200-1300 calories high lean protein, low sodium, low carb and I've managed to gain 4 pounds (4 FREAKING POUNDS!) since my start.…
  • Don't hope, KNOW. Losing weight is first in the mind and that's why it's so hard. You need to reprogam years of bad behavior and (if you're like me) your own poor self esteem rooting for you to fail. KNOW you can do it. KNOW you're going to do it. Remeber we're all here for support. I had tried to diet over and over again.…
  • I'm on day 3 week 1. Let's DO THIS! I have 19 pounds to my goal :) I've lost all my weight through cardio and really need to tone up the jiggles and get rid of the belly roll.
  • If you don't mind newbies I started this past weekend and am on day 3 but I would love to have a group to keep me accountable. I'm unbeliveably sore but I'm determined. I'll take meaurments and before and after photos tonight if you'll have me.
  • That is AWESOME! Not all goals can be seen, some are completely mental. Be proud of yourself and keep it up! You're well on your way and you're proving it with your determination!
  • I'm still a weekend warrior, but I pay for it. I plan my diet and exercise around my weekends. I make sure I exercise every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with NO exceptions to give me a bit of fun freedom and I try to make the meals I eat carb and sugar free to free up a bit more. When I go out I stay active (dancing,…
  • Good to meet you Bev! You're on the right track using mfp :)
  • None of their workouts are available on anything but DVD. I think it's a great idea to add it to wii but p90x was harder than anything i ever did on the wii and I don't know if many of the workouts would translate well.
  • We're all here to answer any questions and to give you all the support and encouragement you need!!!

  • This is going to sound sick, but use it as a motivator. Instead of thinking "Oh man I want a cheeseburger" think in terms of how bad it is for her and be happy you no longer eat like that. Each time she snacks on something else terrible you're taking a step away from that nasty lifestyle. I still amazed when my coworkers…
  • Myfitnesspal works but you need to be honest with it. Remember if you bite it, you write it! That's the best suggestion I can give you. If you're ready you can do it!!! Sit down and set short term AND your long term goals. Don't expect results overnight - Losing weight correctly is a slow life changing process. Be…
  • I usually reserve drinking for friday or saturday. I make sure to workout (especially cardio) before going out to lose the guilty feeling. Then once I'm there I try to stay active. I'll dance or at least try to stand and move around to keep going. As for eating out, there's always a best choice on the menu...just be sure…
  • Although my pens aren't playing I have to watch... I'm broiling wings (putting a cooling rack on top of the baking sheet to get em crispy) tossing them in franks red hot buffalo sauce and serving them with fat free ranch and a side of carrots and celery dipped in homemade roasted red pepper hummus. Sounds good to me :) and…
  • I agree with going to the doctor. I just made an appointment the other day so I can have my thyroid levels checked. I've started losing hair (more than usual, I've always shed) my skin is VERY dry, my hair is dry and static-y and no amount of conditioner or special shampoo will help it, my nails have started peeling and…
  • I go for almonds and jerky... both are good for ya and high in protein but watch the fat and sodium.
  • [ ^This. I've been taking a B-Complex which is pretty much the pill form of the 5hr energy drinks. Combined with my daily multi-vit, I've noticed a big difference in energy level. With all the B vitamins, you can also throw sweet rave parties with your glow in the dark pee...... [/quote] True Dat. lol!
  • Your diet is the true key to weight loss and keeping it off. That being said, I think taking control of your diet and learning to eat correctly is a great place to start. With that change alone weight will start to come off slowly. Once you begin to see the benefits and results it will give you the drive to start…
  • 1) How tall are you? 5'10" 2) How are you built? (big frame, small?) big frame (I'm built like a line backer) 3) Whats your starting, highest, current, and goal weight? 230, 256, 182, 160 4) If you are in the process of losing weight or have reached your goal weight, how long did it take you? In process & have been for…
  • I'll do anything I can to help!
  • Nope, We're all coming out of the woodwork now.
  • Ingore this one, meant to quote and hit the wrong button. my bad.
  • I have the same exact problem! I'm just over 5'10 with wide shoulders a big rib cage and the SMALLEST wrists. I'm telling you I'm built like a linebacker. I'm down to a size 14 (us) at 183 lbs. My BMI says I should get down to at least 174 to reach the top end of the healthy range. To get myself right smack in the middle…
