  • Hi there, the groups on the group link so feel free to join us that'll make three, well it's a start. I am however abstaining from chocie heaven, whether this is right I don't know but I just didn't like how my behaviour was changing. Choccie for breakfast is definately a sign of chocaholicism.
  • Hiya, sorry been busy! I'm a teacher in a local sencondary school too, what about that then?! Welcome chocie lover!! It's been two days since my last chocie fix. Setting this up has helped alot. Changing patterns and habits are hard, but that's where we need to start. That odd chocie biccie with the cup of coffee or the…
  • Oh wow, total respect to you, I have one child and that's hard enough, I am 41 though and it's hard being a new older mom. Your day sounds crazy, how do you find the time to breath? Can I just suggest one, two five minutes of yoga and deep breathing once a day for you? Or does that just sound reeeaaallly patronizing? That…
  • Did 3000 miles from Chicago around the top of Lake Michigan and back down, so about 300 miles a day in a toyota corolla automatic, lovely car, great places and very friendly Americans. Met a sailor called blue and we went canoing on a lake in his back yard. Got to go back one day. I loved America!!! :drinker:
  • Hi Sally totally agree. I'm back to work tomorrow after 6 months maternity leave, it's just taken me 8 minutes to key in my food and exercise for tomorrow so I can plan ahead. Superb!!I love MFP, best thing I've ever tried, 'cos they save all your food on the database and it becomes a lifestyle change for the better and…

  • I eat when I get angry, sad, happy but you've got to put your true feelings first. We've got a multitude of personalities inside us and it depends which is the strongest. I had a disagreement with someone yesterday, went to fill the car up at the garage, normally I'd think sod it I need a chocolate bar, but a loud voice in…
  • I personally think it's best to have something you'll really enjoy and keep the number low so you don';t feel as though you're missing out. For me it's got to be half a guiness or a lovely pear cider. Quality not quantity. Make sure you eat before you go out and you won't get the beer munchies! Have a good un!!
  • Don't do it!! I've lost a stone just sticking to my calories, you need carbs for energy. Depriving yourself only leads to binge eating!! Humans were designed to eat a balanced diet, it's just that today we all eat too much. Hail to the Carbs. all said in jest of courseX:laugh:
  • Oops! sorry, I quoted but didn't reply, I totally agree with this. Use a 5K as a practise run for the ten K, a couple of years ago I really got into running even though I was still quite heavy. I used the cancer research 5Ks to practise for the 10K - the athletes that do these races are more serious. But run the race for…
  • I started the emotional rollercoaster when I was about 10 years old. I'd get home from school and eat to cover up the feelings of failure and hurt when I got bullied for being overweight. 31 years on, its still hard but I'm in control now. Returned to work today, mentioned the website and one of the girls got the biscuits…
  • I've just started MFP and I work out by taking the pram out with my six mopnth old baby. I'm returning to work after Easter part time so will continue to do walking at least 4 times a week. Hubby looks after the baby twice a week and I escape to the gym for two hours. I also have lots of DVDs to the baby gets a good giggle…
