fair enough. i'm just trying to change my mentality and think that might help. i'm wondering if i could go back and see all the progress if i did change it....

thanks again for all the feedback guys - and friend requests. support definitely helps here. i've been thinking more and have found myself slipping a little again over the past week and was thinking that maybe part of my problem is now i see 200 (well 199) as my end point. I'm debating resetting my ticker and having my…

aww well i'm sure you do deserve better - as you're probably sure i do also. but we all need to realize that on our own. have you ever tried to maintain at the minus 70lb mark for a bit? I was thinking of trying to stay at the 200 mark for a bit then take it from there but...... also feel self pressure to move forward. i…

wow! thanks guys! i was sure everyone would just think i'm crazy :-P hiding the scale is a good idea but it never really works for me too long :-P just brainstorming now i think somehow i am equating size to importance now. I've had a lot of moments at work recently where my raging angry feminist of yesteryear have been…

I keep hitting this mental block when i get right under 200 lbs. Somehow i can go from 225 to 200 without even thinking about it really - i mean i put in effort, lots of it but it doesn't really phase me. As soon as i start seeing things starting with a "1" i freak out a little and feel like that's not "me" Watching…

i made my food diary public just for this reason :)

Hmm hadn't thought of this but that's a great idea. thanks.

Argh! you're definitely right. Guess I'll go back to fresh juices with more veggies than fruits. Not what I want to hear but you have a strong point. thanks guys!
-
right but I'm wondering how serious it is that I'm going over on my sugar. I've become a little bit of a fruit (and fruit juice and smoothie) junkie recently.

*bump* PS Nan - i've seen some folks on here post in the "looking to add friends on here" type posts. I bet you could pick up some more folks that way. The more people giving positive feedback to each other the better :)

thanks! it seemed to have really good reviews have you noticed any fluctuation with temperature change? that's the only complaint i've seen
-
thanks for the thoughts - really seems like your weight shouldn't shift so much depending on how you're leaning tho...
-
thanks for the perspective guys. i guess i was always dehydrated before :-P 90 minutes is reasonable. AND i decided i'm going to add a trip up and down the 8 flights of stairs in my building when i go each time (the stairs are right by the bathroom)

you're always so wise :) i drink it at work because i'm bored really lol and if i wasn't drinking water i'd be eating :-P

amen! and join a union asap if at all possible :)
-
yup - definitely log it. what's nice about MFP is that it doesn't announce to the world that i've put on weight, or that i've even weighed in.

good tip - or pop chips

I hear that - the whole "you are what you eat" thing came from somewhere. Even before i started to really try to make changes, eating things like McDonalds french fries has me feeling gross for days! and craving more. It really is an addiction and the longer you're away from the bad stuff the easier it gets. I now find…

you need 1200 calories each day to cover just normal activities so if you exercise and burn 300 calories you need to consumer 1500 calories (1200 + 300), MINIMUM. for awhile i was exercising like crazy but not eating any more and definitely got frustrated. I've found by eating more I'm losing more. Also - a colleague of…

yup definitely all about trying the shake and bake tofu! thanks for the idea. we usually do bbq tofu but that sweet baby rays sauce can make things really high in calories
-
you can do it! funny that you and i started at the same weight - except i joined in April - so you're doing astronomically great! if it helps at all i had a big lull and now it seems that i'm picking up steam again ::knocks on wood::
-
congrats to you! and i just joined all other onederland residents yesterday! i haven't seen a number under 200 in probably 5 years or so! i got so excited i even created a cheesy new default hehe

Eminem always works for me too :) John Butler Trio does too and if i put on some grateful dead i can keep with it for a long time - but just a slower/less intense pace

like hold onto the bar?
-
i always go with what the machine says but maybe just because i want to burn more calories :-P

My goal is now set at losing a total of 35...putting me at 180. I haven't been below 175 in my adulthood and its hard for me to even envision being a normal weight like 120. I've always said "that just isn't me." But last night as I was falling asleep actually I started to think about being 120 lbs and wondering what it…
-
Not sure if this is right but I took the lbs I've lost and multiplied it by 3500 (the calories you have to burn to lose a calorie)
