Fine work! Have a blast at your half marathon!

I'm day 3, would love to join. I think I have celiac disease or gluten intolerance, had duodenal biopsies last week to find out, which is why I had to wait to start. I gave up pop before Christmas and processed sugars before New Years Day. So far, so good, I've been a little tired and a little hungry today. I feel like…

Another delicious make ahead breakfast. peeled and chopped sweet potatoes cooked with half a yellow onion in olive oil until the potatoes are cooked, it takes a while, add turkey bacon (I cut into 1 inch pieces) and cook a few minutes longer so the flavors can blend. I portion this into 1 cup servings and put it in the…

Today I had 7 oz Fage 2% greek yogurt with a cup of mixed frozen berries, water, and coffee with 1% milk. Something I love to make, but I'm out of almond milk. 4 cups of vanilla almond milk 1 cup of brown rice real maple syrup vanilla cinnamon Combine all ingredients, bring to a boil, let simmer for 45 minutes to an hour…

So timely, as I'm sitting at work ready to have an aneurism due to my annoying office mates. 1. nonstop giggling at work 2. retelling the stories of your weekend to each person individually as they come to work, complete with inflection, pauses, and the tone of your voice changing based on whose part of the story you're…

I love to mix avocado, tuna, and cottage cheese and sprinkle with greek seasoning. For a change of pace, you can use the packaged crab.

Thanks, I'm currently in grad school and can't commit to the training. I will be done with school in summer 2017, I'm planning a fall marathon then, I will be getting into the really long runs after I've graduated.

If it's about showing green, log your long run on the day after you do it so that you can eat the calories that day.

I look forward to learning about this. I am in the process of being tested for celiac disease, I honestly don't feel I have celiac disease, my GI doctor mentioned FODMAP issues an alternative if the celiac is negative, I'm not quite sure what it all means yet. I'm having an EGD with bioposies on January 8, I'll know more…

Congrats on your marathon, I run half marathons and look forward to doing a full some day. I believe that the general idea of weight loss is calories in needs to be less than calories out. I haven't been running, but I was never hungry the day of my long runs, I was always hungry the day after. I added the calories I…

I'm here. I had great success when I joined almost 3 years ago. Due to some issues I stayed, but didn't log properly, my weight is creeping up, I had lost over 40 lbs, I've officially gained 17 back. So, I'm reenergized, revived, and refocused.

awesome work, keep it up!

Awesome, you're looking good, but I especially loved the energy and enthusiasm of your posting.

Welcome back, I'm freshly back too.

I've been here for over 2 years, had great success, and fell off the wagon. I'm back and I'm going to finish what I started. I stayed away until I was ready to do this right, including resetting my weight, redefining my goals, and logging every bite. I've done a lot of thinking and I think we need to take the focus off of…

Congrats, way to go!

I'm back too. I started at 202, got down to 151 (wanted to be down to 139) got in a relationship and am currently back around 170. I've been out of the relationship for a few months. I was running half marathons, etc... I'm still doing half marathons, just not training or running the entire 13.1 miles. I'm getting back to…

Way to go, great transformation.

Great transformation, keep it up!

It doesn't matter to me when people consider themselves a runner. It's their journey and their perspective on their journey has no impact on my journey.

I'm pushing 47. I started tracking and cut my calories according to The TDEE-20% method. I started couch to 5k 5 days before I turned 46 and ran a half marathon 8 months later, my profile picture is me after my half marathon. I'm training for another half marathon. I run 3-4 times a week and do a no excuses outdoor…

I was hating my long runs. We had a terrible winter and I lost my mojo. One day I decided to simplify and go back to when I loved running and do what I did then. For me it was turning off the music and listening to podcasts or listening to nothing. I find when I don't listen to music, I get a lot more thinking done.

Congrats!

Thanks everyone. Update....I RAN AN ENTIRE HALF MARATHON ON SATURDAY. You never know how strong your body and mind are until you push past the limits you put on yourself. I hit the wall around mile 11, I wanted to walk more than anything, I was hurting, my legs were cramping, I was crying. Someone ran by with a tshirt that…

Congrats, an amazing time, especially for your first!
-
Awesome! You also have a nice pace for just starting out. I suggest a couch to 5k app too. I used Get Running. Good luck!
-
Thank you for all the comments, especially about how young I look!

Wiginn, how is your training going? Where is your half? Are you doing Flying Pig in Cinci or Indy Mini? I was going to do Flying Pig, but decided to save those hills for when I'm more experienced. Good luck!
