It's hard for women to get bulky simply because of their physiology. Bulking requires testosterone, so most women would need to take a supplement in order to get bigger. That said you can still get heavier while weight training if you're not eating right. I'd suggest eating close or just below maintenance on your training…

maybe not bigger, but certainly more shapely, and firm.

Ice and heat will certainly make a difference. also make sure you're staying well hydrated - not just during exercise but throughout the whole day. If you're too dehydrated your muscles will scream at you. if that fails you can try topical solutions like Tiger Balm. If it's really unbearable there's always ibuprofen.

some soreness is to be expected but to be on the safe side make sure you're stretching properly before and after. It will make a difference. When I do my power squats without stretching I can barely walk the next day. You could also try jumping in a hot tub or steam room once your workout is done.

Strength training is kind of tricky to figure out calorie wize. There's so many factors like number of sets, reps per set, intensity of reps, frequency of reps and rest between sets. youcan add strength training under the cardio exercises but it's just a ballpark estimate

I want to reach 170 pound. I've no real set timeline, but if I can do it in time for the new year, then dandy! I've recently taken a job doing renovations so hopefully that should help. I got me a shiny water bottle I take everywhere, I play frisbee several times a week and go to the gym 5x a week on top of that. I also…
