  • Even if I don't know you, I for one am very proud of you! It could be a variety of reasons why people didn't say something, but they could have at least said, "Wow, you look amazing!" without directly making it about weight loss. People can be really dense, sometimes!
  • Wow! You look truly amazing! I know that's got to feel good! :)
  • 32 years old transgender male, pre-T. I'm about 58 lbs away from my ultimate goal weight (180 - I'm 5'10") and I'm hoping I'll achieve that in the next year or two. Considering I started 306 lbs, that's really not bad. It just seems the harder I try to lose weight, the harder it is to get off. Because of my weight, it…
  • I'm pre-T and I'm curious as well to see what sorts of changes will need to be made once I start.
  • Absolutely amazing!! I'm so happy to see such a great transformation -- and as someone who is very similar in build/height, you've inspired me! :)
  • One of my oldest and dearest friends (who has lost over 300 lbs) told me that while sodium should definitely be controlled, you really shouldn't stress too much about it unless you have a specific condition that requires you to really monitor it. From my friend: "I wouldn't worry about the sodium at all because you'll need…
  • You definitely aren't the only one to do this! :D I've been weighing myself daily for the past year and a half -- and it hasn't yet to discourage me! I like seeing the changes in my body, how I hold water or food. I'm sure everyone is different, but I enjoy trying to be in-tune with my body as much as possible!
  • Feel free to add me, even if we aren't the same! :D Age: 32 Height: 5'10 Start weight: 306.5 Current weight: 242 Goal: 175 or 180 65 lbs down, 62 more to go to reach my goal!
  • That cranky elf is getting some love! ;D And because I like crack pairings, it's Cullen. hahaha <3
  • Awesome! I love to draw and it's wonderful seeing so many great artists on here! Here are a few of my drawings. :D (Sorry for the small images -- you can view larger at my deviantART account: http://roosterblue.deviantart.com/ )
  • I am looking to lose 127 lbs, if I can! I've lost nearly 65 so far... halfway there! It's a long journey, but very rewarding. I can definitely understand how it feels to sabotage both myself and be around others who feel the need to sabotage me (to make themselves feel better). But I take each day as it comes. If I have a…
  • Definitely what I do! I allow myself one day, guilt-free. I don't go crazy because thankfully, my stomach can't handle the food it used to -- but I certainly don't feel guilty about the butter on my bread or the fresh mozarella on my eggplant parm on my cheat days! The next day, however -- BURN BURN BURN. Cheat days keep…
  • That "No More Trouble Zones" DVD is TOUGH! I definitely recommend taking a full day to rest after one of her circuit workouts. She really pushes you in that DVD and you will need the rest. If you're not ready for a full day of rest or get the itch to move, incorporate a nice, leisurely walk. You'll still be burning…
  • It totally doesn't look appetizing in the making... But the end-product is superb! These sweet potato burgers and indulgent and delicious -- and only 9g of fat! 417 calories 91g of carbs (includes the bun and sweet potato) 9g of fat 21g of protein 466mg of sodium
  • I feel the same way, sometimes. Even though I've lost 60 lbs, I still can't help but feel like the fat girl every time I look in the mirror. (Granted, I still am technically fat -- though, I've come a long way from where I was, 306.5lbs down to 245.6). Changing your habits and the way you eat is just one small chisel away…
  • I think this is definitely the most telling of photos for me! (I mean, aside from the whole glasses thing.)
  • North Chesterfield/Richmond, here! :D Hooray for Virginians!
  • Awesome work!! I'm 5'11" too... went down from 306 to 251, so now I'm trying to get to the point where you are. :D Very inspiring!!
  • I'm RoosterBlue42! Although I only ever play Dragon Age... Such is my boring life!
  • I am one of those people! It can certainly be done. While I'm about 8 ounces away from finally hitting that 50 lb mark, I've been on my adjusted lifestyle change since June and I've consistently lost. I didn't give up everything -- in fact, there are many foods I still enjoy, but in extreme moderation (sushi, Mexican,…
  • Usually increasing the intensity of my workout will help jump my body off of that plateau. Just make sure you are varying your foods daily and maybe get in at least one intense workout a week. Vary it up!
  • I've been having sleep problems for a very long time -- about ten years. I would wake up seven, eight times a night, having to go to the bathroom. I finally went to a pulmonary specialist and sleep doctor -- had the sleep study done. Turns out I had severe sleep apnea because of a combination of my weight and narrow air…
  • That is amazing! I'm doing the same thing... working out for free! People try to get me to come to Zoomba classes and other things, and all I can think is, "Why pay $15 for a class when I can burn just as many calories on my own doing old aerobic videos or walking/jogging for a few miles?" Great job!! I've lost almost 40…
