  • Oops I meant *write it down* not right it down.
  • You can do this for yourself and your son. Pick yourself up and dust yourself off. Today is a new day! Just remember how you felt after you binged. You don't ever want to feel that way again. Right it down and put it somewhere you can read it. That way if you feel the need to binge again you will see a visual reminder of…
  • That is a great way to look at it! Love the positive spin!
  • I take the Bob Harper (Biggest Loser) approach. He gets mad at the cake... "$%&# you, CAKE! You have no control over me!" it's hard for me to only have a little bit b/c I am a cake-aholic so this form of saying "no" has really helped me. http://articles.latimes.com/2012/jan/20/news/la-heb-20120120-bob-harper-self-coaching
  • What an incredible journey for you! Congrats on your hard work, determination and dedication into making a life change for yourself! Keep it up!
  • I have a 3 year old and she rides in the jogging stroller. She LOVES to "run" with mommy, so I am hoping that by doing this now will instill in her good health habits. Plus also, on race days you feel alot "lighter" as you aren't pushing the jogging stroller anymore. :-)
  • Interesting read! Thanks so much for sharing. Reaffirmed my clean eating habits.
  • You aren't wasting anything if you are learning how to eat right and exercise. MFP has taught me the importance of nutrition. It is all wonderful to exercise your butt off at the gym, but if you slam a high fattening empty calorie meal- the work out means squat. Nutrition is the key! Lean meats, fresh fruits and veggies!…
  • Wow! What a difference! You look wonderful! Great Job!
  • Hey there! Congrats on deciding to train for a 5k... I highly suggest the Couch to 5k program, which you are able to download on line. It sounds like you have shin splints, make sure you have good running shoes and have you been fitted for running shoes yet? When you run try to land on the pad of your foot (middle of your…
  • It's like they are looking for you to fail- and they feel better about themselves when they point out what you are eating instead of paying attention to what goes into their own mouths. No point in arguing with someone when you know you are doing right. Congrats for planning a head of time and sticking with it.
  • It doesn't have to be intense just something to get the heart rate up for about 30 minutes a day. I found Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home program a great program to start with. It's easy and you do more than just walk in place. Plus my kids liked to do it with me so they kept me accountable and on track. Once you get the…
  • I also got the Papa John's $11 ad- guess MFP allows any ads that are willing to pay. :-) What helps me though is to see how many calories are in those pizzas then I don't crave them anymore b/c I work my butt off to throw all my hard work down the drain for a slice of pizza.
  • Oops sorry, the Weight Loss they don't want you to know about is based off of Dr. Simeon's work. Not the book you are referencing.
  • It's based off of Dr. Simeon's work, "pounds and inches" and it points to the HCG diet. HCG is an "iffy" thing right now. There are doctors that love it and put their patients on it and others that say it is a fraud. If you do decide to follow I would encourage you to go through a doctor's office as over the counter HCG…
  • There is a Braum's grilled chicken sandwich in the food database on MFP. It says it is about 300 calories. If you have the calories to burn use them, don't restrict yourself so much you will dive into indulgence later. I personaly LOVE Braum's!
  • I do that as well, cook and freeze. What I do is I am apart of a website which plans out your dinners for you each week and gives you a grocery list (e-mealz.com). So I make a bit extra and freeze it that way I am able to heat it up for lunches. You get really tired of soups or sandwiches after a while so mix it up.
  • They have a grilled tilapia which is only 375 calories per their website and then have either black beans (99 calories) or Charra Beans (192 calories) with it. That's a meal in itself. Then the Chips and Salsa... 125 calories for 1 fl oz of salsa and 7 tortilla chips. They have all of their nutrition info on their website.…
  • Did HCG... lost weight... gained it back. Not worth the $ or time in my opinion. Hope your success is better than what I had. I have been on here and just have been devoting the time and effort and work and have had great success. I think there is no such thing as a fat "cure" other than eating right and exercising. Best…
  • I have the same trouble. I work out 5x a week and burn anywhere from 500-700 calories a day. I have trouble eating 1200 calories and sometimes feel like at the end of the day I am having to make up to hit that mark b/c I do not want my body going into starvation mode. I talked to a trainer at the gym I work out at about it…
  • I LOVE my Zumba for the Wii! Mine came with the belt and I have not had any trouble with the belt coming off during my workouts. I burn anywhere between 300-600 calories depending on how long and which level (beginner, intermediate, expert).
  • There is a Zumba for Wii and it is fabulous! I just got it a couple of days ago and am addicted all ready! It allows you to set up a work out calendar and it assigns classes to the days you want to work out! LOVE it!
  • Or just get a HRM for your wrist.
  • I have been counting sex! But I just put it under general aerobics.. I haven't found an actual category for it yet. Does anyone have suggestions?
  • I love Zumba! If you love to dance it is a great work out! I also love kickboxing... it gives you a feeling of empowerment. Good luck!
  • You can never go wrong with a veggie tray. I like to cut up green and red bell peppers and have hummus with it while watching football.
  • Congratulations on such a MAJOR accomplishment!
  • Squats with weights and lunges with weights. Basically weight training will help with the jiggle as well as shrink the fat off of them. But nutrition is essential. If you are doing the weight training you are not going to see results if your diet is not in check.
  • Avocados have a heatlhy fat in them. Yes they are alot of calories with majority of the cals coming from fat but if you eat them in moderation and exercise you should be okay. Here's a helpful website and their are tons of others out there too.…
