They are healthy because they have the "good" fats but unfortunately they are also loaded with calories.

Avocados have a heatlhy fat in them. Yes they are alot of calories with majority of the cals coming from fat but if you eat them in moderation and exercise you should be okay. Here's a helpful website and their are tons of others out there too.

Avocados are awesome! Yes, they have more calories than most veggies, but they are worth it, in my opinion. Maybe not something you'd want to eat EVERY day, but definitely worth working into your meals! :)
  • They have a lot of calories because they have a lot of fat but the fat they have is the good Omega fat so don't beat yourself up. Your body makes good use of those calories.

Same here. I love, love, love avocados! Probably my favorite food as well. They really are healthy, but are high in calories and fat. The fat is "good" fat though. Honestly, you'll have to make room for an avocado if you want one. Sometimes I eat a light dinner so I can half at least half of an avocado on turkey sandwiches for lunch. Don't feel guilty tonight though. One night isn't going to kill you, I promise. Lol. :) Just watch it next time.
