  • Thanks!!
  • I'm set to lose 1 a week. Meds are allegedly on point but since I'm "back on the wagon" for only a few weeks, I can't really tell yet. I can say I've lost 2 pounds in the first two weeks, though. A rare thing!
  • So, if I am understanding this correctly, with the exercise, I had a "bank" of 14,419. I ate 13,144. So my calorie deficit is 3500+1275? Technically, I should lose a pound (being hypothyroid, that part is questionable, but I am only checking the deficit calculation right now). Please can you confirm this is a correct…
  • Can Thyroid-S be imported to the US or is it only for UK and Canada?
  • I use Synthroid (brand name) and Cytomel (brand name). Does anyone else do this combo? I have my Synthroid (88mcg) and Cyto (5mcg) at night, then another Cyto (10mcg) about 12 hours later (or when I start to feel cruddy, whichever comes first). My numbers are spot on with this combination, although I'm still feeling tired…
  • I use the supplement daily but I am not sure it's having any effect. I've been using it throughout my treatment for hypothyroidism, so I can't say whether there's a positive or negative effect. My osteopath approves, though. I have about 20 pounds to lose, and have had that for the past 3 years. I only just started back to…
  • Aldi opened in my area and I did a comparison run between it and the grocery store I like to shop at. I found almost no difference in the prices between them. A perk for my fave store is that I get fuel discounts for dollars spent there, in addition to the good deals. I'll recheck at Aldi, but for our area, at least, it…

  • That is my worry, Joshua! :D
  • Mine are also manually set. I have a little over 1600 in MFP.
  • I understand what you both mean. I know there's an inbuilt 500 calorie deficit. I also have that setup in my Fitbit.
  • Thanks for the help. Not eating back the exercise cals will help considerably. I don't eat them ALL back but I was in them to about 100 calories over the past few days.
  • That is a lot of food, though. I am not sure I can eat that much! That was my problem tonight. I'm still 50 g under, have calories left, but I'm too full to eat anymore.
  • I am talking both food and exercise. It double entried on both. But if I understand your suggestion, it's better to log all on Fitbit than here? I did notice today that Fitbit has me with 133 calls left to eat, while MFP gives me 330. The exercise amount s the same. Not sure if the base, starting rate is, tho.
  • I started taking a product called Thyroid Support by One Body. It has made a huge difference. My doctor looked at my numbers this last week, ask me how I felt, and when I told her I felt great she said she had no reason to change anything. I told her about this product, showed it to her, and she said it was fine. I have…
  • Not me personally, but a close friend did. Turns out it WAS adrenal fatigue. Extra supplements, slight diet changes and her energy returned along with her hair growing back.
  • I started taking a thyroid support supplement from 1Body about a week ago. It has a lot of the above mentioned herbs and minerals. I am finding myself feeling more alert now. A new report just came out (read it yesterday online) that said that the garcinia cambogia supplement had little to no effect on weight loss.
  • Just for reference, today I had a two hour delay class. In that class about halfway through, I had to take one half of my Cytomel dose. I took the other half of the dose after class. I did make it through. It wasn't easy. I also took the Rhodiola before class. I was mistaken in the MCG though. Apparently, if you check the…
  • I have decided to wait till my next appointment. In the meantime, I have started using a half dose of 1Body Thyroid Support. Only one day so far but impressed. The longer term will tell, though. Will update in about a week. If this works, it'll replace a handful of supplements I have been taking.
  • Um.....I don't have one. I just started looking into it. I am interested in hearing from anyone who might have actually used it, though.
  • I didn't lose any weight and had serious headaches and heart palpitations. For someone who normally has lower blood pressure, this was not good!
  • Are you experiencing any hypo or hyper symptoms? If you feel okay, perhaps it's best not to rock the boat, so to speak.
  • I used garcinia for a while but it gave me really bad side effects.
  • I exercise quite heavily. I get up in the middle of the night and take a combination of Synthroid and Cytomel. The Cytomel I take a middle of night is 50 MCG. My next dose is scheduled for around three or four in the afternoon. For the past several weeks, I have had a two hour ballet class every other day from 1:30 to 3:30…
  • I also investigated. I WANT to increase my thyroid function. No worries on the listed disorders. I have celiac, and dairy intolerance and allergy, but that's it. I started the rhodiola but no discernible change as yet.
  • I have been using the Ashwagandha for a few days. No side effects. Feeling slightly more energetic, but I'm not on the full, recommended dose (bottle recommendation) as a precaution. I'll order the Rhodiola and see how that goes. Thanks for the feedback!
  • I am back at the gym with full workout 3 times a week now, and 4 intense, advanced ballet classes between. Just waiting for the collapse to find the limit...
  • I had the opposite problem, actually. I was way over on the T3 so my GP had me cut back. I lasted a few weeks only, then reintroduced half of a second dose. Before cutting back, I was on 100mcg twice daily, then cut to 100 once daily. Self-added in 50 at night and after several months, so far, so good. Have upped the…
  • How long does the Rhodiola energy boost last? Do you also take synthroid or levothyroxin?
  • Also be aware that even without any complications, a woman's body and cycle can change every 7 to 10 years or so. It's normal. Mine certainly did, well before I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism - about every 7-8 years there would be a change of some sort.
  • This is what I am talking about. I have been in the athlete range so this study fits my situation. I can do my normal level of exercise, but then I crash for a few weeks. It appears to be unsustainable, at this point.
