Logging in Fitbit and MFP = double entry?

My Fitbit is linked to MFP. I noticed this week, this is my first time using both, that when I log in MFP, it shows up on the fitbit site. But if I log in Fitbit, it doesn't show up in MFP. If I log in both MFP and fit bit, however, it doubles up in fit bit. Any recommendations as to which one I should really use for logging?

Are you talking about just exercise?
The advice I've seen and followed myself is to let the Fitbit log step-based things on its own. Log any non-step-based activities, like biking, in the Fitbit app.
This gives a better calorie burn estimate.
If you want to see your exercises on your news feed, just post a status update.
Does that help?

I am talking both food and exercise. It double entried on both. But if I understand your suggestion, it's better to log all on Fitbit than here? I did notice today that Fitbit has me with 133 calls left to eat, while MFP gives me 330. The exercise amount s the same. Not sure if the base, starting rate is, tho.0

I log my activity on Fitbit and food on MFP.
Sometimes Fitbit glitches if I add to my prelogged breakfast and adds in two entries but you can delete it.2 -
Log food here and exercise in Fitbit. Ignore the Fitbit calories left and follow MFP's numbers for that.
Check your Fitbit app/dashboard for double food entries; sometimes MFP gets things confused and sends 2 entries over for a certain meal if you add something. It's supposed to overwrite if you make a change, but that doesn't always happen.

Thank you very much for the explanation. I was recording my workouts in MFP and I couldn't quite figure out why the numbers were so high?!?!
I have a Versa and I like it (although I do believe it calculates calories burned a bit high)
Cheers my friend!
