Use a smaller dish too. Get some gum and find something to do to get your mind of eating.

I have the Polar and it seems to work pretty well. I like the Polar because the cardio machines at the gym can read the pulse from it too. I've heard good things about the Garmin too.

YAY!

I am apt to do the same thing. I was told that if you eat something high in fat you will soon crave more high fat food (I think that was from a cardiac rehab therapist) and it does seem to be true. So I at least try to eat fruit and or a fiber bar at such times. If you do find a good answer let me know. I do agree with the…

YAY!!!!! Congrats!

Yes. Just so I will know how hard I have to work at the gym tomorrow to burn the extra off LOL.

Since joining.

I'd LIKE to lose nothing, because I've hit goal. But since I may not be so lucky, most likely a couple or three pounds up to maybe 5 will likely be the case.

Don't fret, just keep going it WILL work!

You are spot-on IMHO, I know a whole group of medical people in rehab gyms who would agree and would tell you the same; in fact I've heard them scold people for calling what they are doing "a diet" and implored them to think of it as a life style change and specifically NOT a diet.

Well hard tellin' gotta watch it first - it's recorded :) I would tend to think better of him than to believe he was being irresponsible.

Greetings! A little more background: I was was diagnosed with a murmur about 18 years ago. Aortic stenosis was suspected but not confirmed at the time.. Over time my energy level was dropping until in the final year, I could not stand and talk to somebody for more than a few minutes without a great deal of effort.…

Usual MWF stuff 5k run on treadmill (Fridays is elliptical day) 10k on bike 20 minutes on stair master (usually intervals) 1 hour on weights (various) (Normally about two hours) today only, since I had an appt. in the same building I had another half hour to kill so I did that at a walk. Works for me but I'm glad when I'm…

Good job!! Hey got a goofy question though: do the tats look different? Depending on when you got them, I would think they could change.

It's just more money grubbing from a bunch of spendaholics.
-
Yeah just what we need, more taxes more government more regulation. No thanks.

bump, gotta agree with this. Drop the sodium down if you can. I personally would cut as much of the breads as you can too. The cardiac rehab people around here preach" the quickest way to the grave is white bread and salt". Yes they even have power point slide that says that very thing. Another doc says try the "white…

Yep, ditto for me too. That said, I don't like to associate the word "diet" with something we do to lose weight when it is more accurately the life style change we make by IMPROVING our diet along with becoming more active causing the weight loss.
