  • Thanks! Yes it went super! I found this amazing ideas for frozen meal prep. https://hip2keto.com/recipes/slow-cooker-freezer-bag-meals/ I did the beef stew (was really good) and the buffalo chicken (frozen, to be tested soon). Tonight I am making a meatloaf wrapped in bacon. We eat it with zoodles or salad and it's super…
  • HW 183 CW 166 September GW 155 UGW 135 After a massive fall-off-the-wagon in late July and most of August, I think I'm back on track. I have a gala to attend in 3 weeks, and I need to lose 4-5 pounds (I think, hopefully that will be enough) before that so that I can wear an old dress without bursting the seam 😅😅 Today is…
  • I miss bread too!!! I feel that most recipes have an egg taste but if you prepare ahead and toast the bread, then it's ok. I have seen keto sandwich bread online. It is expensive but with 1 slice a day and freezing the loaf it should last. I am tempted to order some! If you try a recipe: 1/2 tsp of xanthum gum can be…
  • Looking at the keto blogs you can spend a lot of time and energy cooking, and the shopping lists can be daunting. As the hunger decreases and you get into the routine of eating less and planning your meals, it becomes actually really ok to eat tasty keto on a budget. I do a lot of bolognese that I freeze in small portions…
  • HW 183 CW 166.4 August GW 155 Health goal = reach healthy BMI by late September (149) UGW 135 08/04 - 08/11- 166.4 08/18 167 (+0.6) 08/25 08/31 This week has been extremely stressful at work, and I don't eat well when I am stressed. I'm starting again to log my food so hopefully I'll have a better week. And I'm doing a…
  • HW 183 CW 166.4 August GW 155 Health goal = reach healthy BMI by late September (149) UGW 135 I did not weight last week because of family visiting and I had fallen off the wagon. Now back on track, but boy restarting a true keto diet is HARD! I see a lot of ups and downs on this forum, so good luck to all! 08/04 - 08/11-…
  • Hello everyone! Here it goes, another month! CW: 166.6 UGW: 142 AUGUST GW 160 08/04 08/11 08/18 08/25 08/31 On the list of "life happens that makes keto derail" this month: my mom is visiting from overseas and staying another 10 days, my daughter is turning 15 this week, and I have a gazillion work events/business dinners.…
  • Looking fab Dr! Congrats!!!

I might go back to IF now that I'm home and I'll try to walk or exercise in some way. Between a demanding job (sitting) and the heat outside, I am very…

Before restarting keto it was up and up and up consistently. I'm leaving today for a work meeting, fully catered and coming…
  • My ANA are up and down, so sometimes I'm negative. My doc tests me every 6mo. She said that the skin-only lupus is often ANA negative. And my rheumatologist requested a skin (face) biopsy that confirmed my lupus. Doc also said that sometimes ANA are fluctuating when the disease is not fully settled in, although I was…

  • @stormywxs288 I have the opposite issue, ridiculously low blood pressure. But high pressure runs in my family. My mom eats no salt whatsoever, choses her fat really carefully (no butter ever except in birthday cakes! True story!) limits red meat to once a week and walks 1h a day no matter what the weather is. Good luck!
  • I am inspired by this group and the MFP community! Good to know that I'm not alone in this, it's very motivational ☺ HW: 185.5 CW: 171.5 GW: 143 July GW: 165 JULY 07/07 07/14 07/21 07/28 07/31
  • Low carb is less than 60g carbs a day. My GP told me to do low carb on days I don't feel I can stick to keto, and she said 60g. But it might just be the numbers for my height and weight? (5'5, 176)
  • Hello ladies! Restarting keto after being off it for a while. So far this has been the only diet that worked for me. My GP approves, she just says to keep it low carb on days that I don't feel like meeting my fat. I am also new to groups on MFP, so if you have tips or group suggestions it would be great. Is there a place…
  • Hello ladies, restarting keto after falling off the wagon (new job, big international moves, and a severe case of sweet tooth and low will). I know it's a bit late for the june challenge but I could really use some motivation from like minded women. SW 180 GW 153 (= healthy BMI) CW 6/23 176 June GW 172 I've never used the…
  • Not cool... Just try to eat smaller portions and exercise as much as you can. How far is Walmart? Any chance you could walk or catch a bus? Get some exercise videos on youtube, and exercise 20 min 3x a week or more, I'm sure you'll see a change. It can be done at home, no money or dad involved. Also, cut on the soda!…
  • I've read that when it comes to weight lifting, guys should increase weight as they can, while girls should stick to moderately heavy and increase reps. Not sure how true it is, the whole article seemed very reasonable. Anyway, weights and cardio are the best way to burn calories => it's a no brainer!
  • Hi there! I'm a pilates instructor and I'd take a patient like you if they walked through the door. NOT for therapy, because I'm not a physio. But we are trained to teach and work AROUND injuries. Maybe you could talk about it around you, see if you can identify a teacher or a studio where some of your friends or family…
  • Not cool! Hope you had fun camping, though!
  • Thank you for being such a good MFP friend! You're always encouraging, and it's thanks to you and others like you that I keep coming back here. Keep up the good work, break old patterns, and let's do this!
  • Hi everyone! Can I jump in the middle of the challenge and join this Monday? I could use a challenge to boost my weekly exercising!!!300 min sounds like a lot for a 1st week, but I can aim for 200!
  • Fell free to add me! All of you who need friends on MFP! The more the merrier, it helps you to log in on a daily basis, and watch what you're eating so that you will make a good diary entry, not a shabby one :)
  • I like skorts by Lee. They are cute short skirts with a short underneath them. I have a olive green one that is really cute. The other option is a lycra mini short like those for biking or aerobics. Ultimately, I wear short leggings under short dresses that look like tunics. Yeah to summer skirts!
  • Hi there! Welcome! Feel free to add me. You'll find a lot of friendly supporting people here, lots of good tips, just a plain nice community. Sometimes I feel bad when I wake up, you know just tired and I can tell it may not be a good day for a diet. Then I turn on my computer, and I see emails from "my fitness pals" with…
  • I guess I stopped because I don't like to write down that I add a burger and fish and chips the same day? I don't know... I feel demotivated sometimes, and I just drop the diet and whatever could help me stick to it :( Good luck to you! And keep tracking your food each day, it's the best way to make it work! I hope this…
