  • We have this problem at school too and it drives me nuts! My kids are given candy as rewards for doing well academically. I have mentioned that I don't want them rewarded with food on the start of year information sheets (and that we we are GF) but it is ignored. Luckily, my gluten intolerant son cares about his health and…
  • Starting Push today! Lost several inches during Burn, hoping for some lbs and inches in the next 4 weeks!
  • I too put it in my bulletproof coffee. It had very quick effect on my achy knees.
  • This might be referring to my comment that I was lifting "light". Light is relative. I am exceeding the weight the beginner uses in the Burn circuit (sometimes by a large margin) and, yes, lifting to failure. When I used to lift faster or use machines, I lifted somewhat heavier. My upper body strength has always been an…
  • We are having green thai curry chicken burgers from Well Fed 2. We eat a lot of ground meat because I have three insatiable boys and that is the cheapest responsibly pastured meat I can get! Anyway, maybe peruse paleomg, she has tons of great recipes. Turkey and chicken are pretty interchangeable IMO. We love the buffalo…
  • Feel free to add me. I have been paleo for nearly two years though I am doing W30 at the moment so won't be logging food for a couple more weeks, but I usually do log and will re-start when my W30 is over. I struggle getting calories in, really working at it, but I do gain weight when I eat over 1600 (tried for five months…
  • First week went great though I am lifting light. My dang poor upper body strength gets me every time. Good luck with your first work out!
  • Hi, I started on January 13 too! Glad to have found this group.
  • So interesting. I am A+ and was a vegetarian for years. I have never had a taste for meat but, despite a relatively healthy diet that included lots of whole grains and a regular workout routine, I was still overweight and couldn't lose. Once I switched to paleo, it started to come off. I still dream of red lentil dal…
  • Hi there! The 2014 W30 group has much more traffic. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/18029-whole30-january-2014. Good luck with your W30 in any case. :)
  • I lost 8.4 lbs. Lost one inch from waist, arm, and thigh, 1.5 inches from upper abdomen, 1.25 inches from hips and .5 inch from calf. It has been fun! Thanks for the group!
  • Just one single DVD?!! Gonna seem like a vacation! :)

  • HRM says 596 calories burned. That is both warm ups, both circuits and one cool down. Total 81 minutes.

  • I just received Jillian's Extreme Shred and Shed and I am going to put together my own version of the slimdown using it in place of NMTZ, Ripped in 30 in place of 30 Day Shred and continue the BFBM.
  • ITA!

  • I would rather do this DVD than any of the others. Still burn the calories with it, unlike the other two,

  • Finished but will need to take a run to burn a few more calories.

  • Finally done! Power went out during my first attempt...it is over 80 degrees in the house still so I surely sweated away some extra fat.

  • Done. I have managed to hurt my shoulder though. Think I was trying to lift too heavy so will back off to 3 lbs (and pray I didnt do anything serious, yikes.) Taking my rest day tomorrow because I won't be home,

  • Completed. My calorie burn was super low today even though I did harder versions of some moves. I think my body is, like "Pft, this one again, NBD." ;)

  • I just added my halfway results to the measurements thread. Pretty happy overall. I think this combined with carb cycling and supplements has helped me break my plateau finally.
  • On July 15, I was: 173.4 Waist 30 Abdomen 31 Hips 38.75 Upper arm 12 Upper thigh 21.75 Calf 15.25
  • I have to say I am dreading this a bit (and future double work outs too!). I took a true rest day yesterday because my body needed it.
