Overwhelmed by the support - thanks so much

Thanks Jess. That's a good idea, and something I haven't done before. I will start my list....

Okay - thanks all! So, here's the plan. I'm going to stop tracking for the remainder of this week. Until Sunday. I'm just so aggy over the whole thing I'm going to give myself a break. Not to say i will over-eat on purpose and I will make good choices but I need some time off of the guilt. My new gym opens on Sunday and…

Thank you. Yes.

That is exactly where I am..... Okay. Can we do it together??

Thanks all, I really appreciate the support. I know I'm being a baby. The thing is, although I have done it before, I have failed before and I think every time I go in to it again I take each of those failures with me. I just feel like such a weak stupid idiot. I reckon every time I lose weight people around me are…

It's the young girls that I notice now... They all seem very concerned with their weight and talk about diets etc way more than we used to at that age. But they are all rather large for the most part. And is it me, or does cellulite exist much younger than it used to??? None of us had it at school I don't think, but now it…

I had this issue once before. What worked for me is printing out weekly plans with broken down hours (you can find them online or you could use the new-fangled way of planning with Google calendar ;)) I blocked out all of my working hours, meal times, personal commitments etc. each week then made appointments on the…

THANKS SO MUCH everyone. That is so helpful. A pure gym is without trainers or people who help you out ect. You just rock up and go I think. Although there are PTs that work at the gym independently so I think I will book one of them for my first visit and see how I get on with the printable :) I'm excited!!!

This is really good to see. I tried clean eating for so long and every time I just fell off the wagon because it was so restrictive and I just enjoy food way too much to stick to only clean. That's not to say I eat loads of junk but if my friends and I go to the coffee shop I want to eat some cake! There are only so many…

I agree completely. With so little to lose (although it does't feel like a little I'm sure!) and with your body already at a plateau, I would definitely suggest setting MFP to a 1lb a week loss as a maximum. I would actually go for half a pound. I bet you'll be suprised with the loss you actually acheive. I know it's…

Hi there, I know it feels like you have, but you didnt gain 2lbs in a week on 1500-1600 a day. It would take eating 7000 extra calories over your maintenance goal for the whole week to put on 2lbs of fat... which would mean eating around 3000 or more a day. It sounds like water weight to me. I recently switched to…

I love it too. I have the opposite problem that if I dont eat back my exercise calories I maintain. Then I have to just drop lower and lower to shift the weight, it was quite depressing and a bit of a revalation that I can now actually eat! Funny how we all work differently isn't it x

Hi Kitty thanks for the add! Just saw this. Sorry for delay! Well, there was a really helpful MFP member who told me about breaking down macros - she said to aim for 30/30/40 (fat/carbs/protein) - it's really easy if you have the phone app as it shows you a piechartbreakdown. I've noticed loads of benefits so far - mostly…

My definition is that if you are behaving in a way that you wouldn't behave if your partner was sat right next to you - you are cheating. But by that rule I have cheated myself. I'm not saying that I stick to it all the time but I try to as much as I can and for me it is a good rule to live by. I know my partner is the…

Hi there - started on the 25th but am only on day 9... if that makes sense! I love the workout but I find Jillian so annoying when you've heard her say the same thing over and over. I might have a break from it - or try the level 2 just to get a bit more of a range of "witty" reparte..... :)
-
Wow- Christine, are you tracking everything? Aren't you hungry?
-
Mine is open - add at criticize away please everybody :) :)

Thanks everyone for the advice. So maybe I'm punishing myself unnecessarily then. I totally get what you're saying about the body breaking down alcohol first so fat loss is stalled - that makes a lot if sense. I will keep that in mind to put me off the odd glass but for social occasions I will just enjoy myself in…

Thanks Shar!!!! Really looking forward to it x (maybe I shouldn't be!)

Hey - I'm Laura from the UK - near London. I've just ordered the 30DS from Amazon for next day delivery so should be ready to get started with you on the 25th. My goal is to get super fit before I'm 30 (15 months) I've been running/ walking/ cycling for my cardio but getting a bit bored and need to change things up. I…

Ooh, lovely - thanks!!!!

Hi duckz, and thanks!! Yes - pear shap is when the weight sits on the bottom half rather than the top. Apple id when you carry it around the middle. You know those people with skinny legs but big tummies? You look great!! Good motivation for me!

Will I ever know? ;) Bumpity bump

I have been more thirsty... but thought it was the exercise. Dieticians are too expensive I'm afraid.

Ha! I don't know what that is but sounds good!
