I used to be, too. Then the tolerance built up. Now guys gotta work to afford me, lol!

I've been at this for quite some time. There have been months when the scale didn't move, or even went up. I'd challenge you to find someone who's weight only ever moved on the downward slope. Those people are very few and far between because everyone has slip ups, bad weeks, and bodies that are trying to adjust. There are…

I agree with everyone who suggested Zumba or the dance games. I hated exercise until I finally found something I love (happened to be TurboFire for me). If you don't want to spend money on a class, dvd or game, turn on the radio, pandora, or your ipod and get crazy. Sometimes my workout is just me dancing like a complete…

You could do pita chips and hummus. Or if you can skip the dip, Special K chips are really good, and only 110 cals for about 28 chips. Kale chips are also delicious. If you've never made them, give it a shot.

I haven't done P90X, but I've tried Insanity...it's effective for cardio, but not much fun. 30DS is also effective (and a quick workout), but in my opinion, also not fun. I absolutely LOVE Turbo, though. It's super fun and a great workout.

With those DVDs, you're not lifting heavy (most people use 3-8 pound weights), so it's not so bad to do it everyday. Of course, if you're not used to doing even that, you'll be sore at first. If you don't feel comfortable, go at your own pace. The workout police aren't going to come after you for not doing it everyday.

If you don't like to workout, you need to find something you enjoy or else you're less likely to stick with it. That's what I had to do..I dreaded working out everyday until I found Turbo Jam (and then TurboFire). I also did SlimFast for a few months and it really helped me learn about calories and portions. Best of luck!

I did. I'm now working on making my 16s loose :)

Tae Bo, for sure. TurboFire, too, but it's got some dance in it, too. Still lots of punching and kicking.
-
This explains why I gained a ton of weight in college.

Bump so I can lol at these later

I think Turbo is way more fun than Insanity. I always tell people Turbo is what would happen if kickboxing and dancing had a baby. Insanity is more traditional moves like jumping jacks, high knees, etc. Turbo has more punches and kicks, and some dance-y type stuff. The music is about a million times better, too. For me,…

TurboFire has a little bit of strength with a sculpt class and a tone class. Both just use resistance bands. If you want the intense cardio and strength, you should consider doing the TurboFire/ChaLEAN Extreme hybrid. I just finished that and I loved it.

Lol wtf..I feel a little :noway: right now.

Yep. Haven't spoken to him since September.

I couldn't find some hedge clippers. He said "fine, but don't ever talk to me again".

Chocolate light soy milk..takes care of the chocolate craving AND you get calcium and protein all for about 90 calories.

My favorite is from Dolvett on the Biggest Loser. Someone was complaining they wanted to stop because it hurt. He said "it hurts to look this good. I'm in pain everyday."

I'm doing the TF/CLX hyrbid as well, and I really like it. Do what works for you, though. There's no law about following the program to the letter. If you want to change it to fit you, go for it!

Bumping for later, thanks!!

I ended up getting caught up, only to fall behind again once I moved. Sigh...oh well, as long as it gets done, it doesn't really matter if I finish later than anticipated, I guess.

I haven't ever really been called a name, but one of my first graders gave me a birthday card to wish me a happy 800th birthday. I was turning 23, so in a round about way, I guess I was called really old.

Screw it..I'm doing it.

If your friends are even the slightest bit intelligent (and I bet they are), they understand that you're human. Taking a break is important. People need breaks. When they say "keep up the good work" they don't mean "burn 1000 calories everyday or else you're a failure and you're letting me down". They mean you're doing a…

It's nice that what I'm doing for myself can inspire someone to want to do it for themselves. They're inspired, not expecting you to train them/make them do the work. If an artist gets inspired by nature, it doesn't suddenly become nature's job to paint that picture, you know? You're not responsible for anyone else's…

Not everyone responds to soft, sugar-coated words. Some people actually do better when you tell them to suck it up. You have to know who you're talking to and what works for them. Motivation/support isn't one size fits all.

Swing Vote. I didn't want to watch it in the first place, so I was dead set on hating it from the beginning, but that ending was crap. The two candidates spend the entire movie trying to convince this guy to vote for them because his vote is the tie breaker and at the end they don't tell you who he voted for. Complete…

I got three old (read: myspace) pictures of myself and three old (again, myspace) pictures of friends. Even more odd, I deleted my myspace account two years ago and I can still get to it via google.

I'm 5'1 and 190 right now if a three inch, three pound difference is "like-bodied" enough

I'm glad to see Dolvett will be there. I won't miss Anna, either, but I still wonder what happened to Brett and Cara..I liked them.
