I started my weight loss journey by using my treadmill. After a couple days I found it was not enough and after hearing everyone on here talk about 30 Day Shred I bought it and I used it. It was great, I love the combination of cardio and strength training. After I completed 30DS i did Ripped in 30. I was supposed to finish yesterday, but I got a head cold on Thursday and I just can't do any heavy cardio because I am so stuffed up it is hard to breathe and heavy cardio would just kill me. Last night I was feeling better, although I am still stuffed up, so I did a hour and a half walk on the treadmill at 3.5. It was a good burn, but it did not make me breathe heavy.

Anyway, today I am finding that I am missing the soreness that the strength training gave me. I think I am going to get my last 3 days of ripped in hopefully starting back tomorrow (I really hate being sick), but I am not sure what DVD I should do next.

I am thinking of starting Turbofire, but is there any strength training in that program or is it mostly cardio? I only have a few dumbbells and resistance bands, so I don't think P90X or Insanity will work for me because I think you need more equipment than I have.

What have you tried? What did you like?

Insanity is full on and uses no equipment whatsoever - it is all using your own body weight.

TurboFire has a little bit of strength with a sculpt class and a tone class. Both just use resistance bands. If you want the intense cardio and strength, you should consider doing the TurboFire/ChaLEAN Extreme hybrid. I just finished that and I loved it.
