  • When I lost all my weight that I wanted to, I didn't set any date. I was afraid that if I didnt reach my goal by that date I would get discouraged with the results. I just look at the long haul that way I'm never disappointed if I dont reach a certain number.
  • You can add me, although I am finishing up my last 21 days, I will gladly support a fellow P90xer, plus I plan on starting P90x2 as soon as this round is done so both rounds will cover the time period that you will being doing your 90 days of P90x
  • Other than getting surgery, there is no way to spot reduce where you are going to lose fat from. The first place that i lost fat from was from my face and then my legs and then my back, I'm only now starting to lose it around the mid section. Ultimately all you can do is continue to exercise and eat healthy, a combination…
  • My 60 day photos from P90x, 21 days left. I can't wait to see the results as well as start P90x2 http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/p539/eodguy89d/P4110035.jpg
  • Clearly the judges were not watching the same fight as the rest of the planet, PAC was the clear winner. BS flag has been raised...

  • Well I have 23 days left with my first rotation with P90x and so far I have gotten great results with it up to this point. I've gone from no visible abs to Visible abs, if you push yourself hard enough you will get the results you want. It's the same with any type of workout, all you need is determination and drive.

  • Awesome article, the only problem I have is the mentioning of the sleeping pill, after 3 combat deployments between Afghanistan and Iraq, I will never not need a sleeping aid, regardless how much help I have sought.
  • Well, in the past if I exercise to late in the evening ie around 5pm I will be up all night long and wont get an ounce of sleep. What time do you exercise, also as someone else already mentioned you could be eating a food that is keeping you up late.
  • Well since I take a progress photo every 4 weeks, when I took my first photos at week 4 thats when I saw that my hard work and dedication started paying off. If you try and constantly look and watch for weight loss IMO you'll get discouraged when you don't see any changes. Just be patient and the hard work will show itself.
  • Nothing pumps me up like some old school Punk Rock, my go to band is Bad Religion
  • Hell no I personally don't diet 7 days a week, my life sucks enough out here in Afghanistan. I need to treat myself somehow and if that means a burger or a cup of ice cream I'm doing it. Doing a cheat day definitely gives me a mental break.
  • As somone that has the most stressful job on the face of the planet, I can tell you no it doesn't because if it did, I would weigh 0 pounds.
  • Awesome job my friend! Your hard work and dedication are definitely paying off with awesome results. I can't wait to see your day 90 photos!
  • You really should have some type of complex carbohydrate about an hour or so before you start the workout's so that way by the time you start the workout that complex carbohydrate is primed and ready for your workout. Then after your workout have a protein shake with some type of simple carbohydrate. For example I…

  • When I injured my MCL, I swapped out the PLYO day with another day of Yoga and gave my knee some time off from high impact, my legs actually got a lot stronger and as a bonus I got a lot better at the yoga positions. Just my 2 cents
  • Hell yeah I have cheat days, if you didn't you would lose your mind. Just dont go absolutely crazy, oh i hate healthy for a day so Ill have a cheat day tomorrow and so forth. I don't really have a planned one everyweek. I sometimes go a week, two weeks or even three without one, it all depends on how my body feels. Most of…
  • I'm about to finish up a P90x/Insanity hybrid and boy that kicked my butt all over the place and I can send you the hybrid that I used if you like and you can decide if you want to use it or not. Once this hybrid is done, I think I might go for the P90x2 or just do another hybrid.
  • I carb it up like carbs are going out of style and that's just my preference. Everyone's body is different so, just like some diets work well for some and not others. If you try taking lots of carbs before the race and it doesn't work then it's still a success because now you know what doesn't work for the next race that…
  • For the first 60 days of P90x I was on the fat shredder, I was on a 50% protein, 30% carbs, and 20% fat. I was taking in 1800-1900 calories a day. I will tell you that it was very very unpleasant and I would not use it again. Right now i'm shooting for protein 30-35%, carbs 50-55%, and fat 15-20% on any given day and…
  • Three things annoys the hell out of me at the gym, 1) Not re-racking the weights 2) No wiping down the benches / equipment you use, damn dirty birds 3) Signing out loud when you have head phones in.
  • I've attempted the P90x program several times and right now I'm finishing my fifth week and I have never been so motivated in my entire life now that I'm finally seeing the results I want through hard work of exercising and healthy eating. Also the other big reason that I've been able to stay on the program and eating…
  • Worst binge ever was after I came home from Iraq the second time after having to eat so little food for an entire year and losing weight in a very unhealthy way, first stop after landing was straight to McDs. I had 3 quarter pounders with cheese, it was delicious when I was eating it, but boy did I pay for it the next…
  • Actually I just got a free tub from someone and IMO I think most people wouldn't like the taste with water, it definitely tastes better with milk added. It's hard to describe, I guess I would best describe it has a little bitter kind of like drinking a Guinness. That being said I choose to drink it with just water due to…
  • Weekly Goal: 5,300-5,700 Mon: 600 ( 60 minutes of insanity) Tues: calories burned (how they were burned) Wed: calories burned (how they were burned) Thur: calories burned (how they were burned) Fri: calories burned (how they were burned) Sat: calories burned (how they were burned) Sun: calories burned (how they were…
  • I was actually just reading an article today about it, I was thinking about picking one up but also read some reviews that said it was an ok product. Any experience people have with it your input would be appreciated
  • You're telling me, I've lost all this weight using P90x and Insanity and all I had to do was buy a belt off of TV. Damn I should have taken the easy route:laugh: ..those things are such a joke. The one that kills me the most is the one that pretty much electrocutes you an forces you to contract your abs. I mean really, who…
  • I'm the same as you, I love the feeling of I just gave everything I have in the gym and pushed my body as far as it will go. It's an awesome feeling when you start to see real changes in your body and that you know your hard work is starting to pay off. If i leave the gym and I'm not sweating I know I was dogging it in the…
  • As an Active Duty army guy..I'd say DO IT!! You got this all the way! Also I'm the same as pkfrankel, I can never seem to get an ounce of sleep the night before a race not matter how early i try to go to bed.
  • I keep all of mine, I usually go to Michael's and get a nice size frame and put the T-shirt that you usually get for running the race and then pin the bib to the front.
