Lots of deep beats and quick pace stuff for me when i'm running or something. So for me that's usually alot of Industrial or EBM type stuff, a little bit of rock if I'm in the mood, and a few other things

For Cardio, my go-to albums are Biffy Clyro (Only Revolutions) and Jimmy Eat World (Futures).

For Weights, it's a lot heavier stuff - Motley Crue (Saints of Los Angeles album), Foo Fighters (Wasting Light).

I have a running playlist that includes everything from my favorite type of music, 80s heavy metal :blushing: (Motley Crue "Livewire" for the win!) to Katy Perry to Eminem to local alternative-country bands...um yeah...I'm kinda weird.

When I lift weights I usually don't listen to anything, just whatever is playing at the gym.

I really love anything fast paced and upbeat when running. "Shimmer" by Fuel always wakes me up and motivates me! When I'm lifting, it doesn't matter.

Usually dance music or music with a bass beat. If I'm doing light exercise, Lady Gaga/Ellie Goulding/Katy Perry, stuff like that, just to get moving. It's upbeat.

When I'm running, it has to have a fast beat, so a lot of Deadmau5 & other electronica music.

When doing weights, a lot of rock, Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold, etc.

I usually just chuck the tv on the music channel and go with whatever pops up.

Except the other day as soon as I started it changed to a Coldplay top ten, as if my workout wasn' torture enough.....

I always start with Eminem. From there, I go with upbeat, fun pop music, techno/electronica, hip-hop/rap - basically anything that has good bass and is upbeat. When lifting, I like "angry" music. Something in the many rock genres.

Basically, I am just like the rest of the general population. (:

I listen to upbeat music. Techno, electronica, dubstep, trance. If you have Pandora you can plug in the genre's and you'll get a constant pace of music. It's also a good way to get the names of songs/artists you like.

Rise against, (old school) AFI, Bad Religion, MXPX, the first my chemical romance album. If its fast and angry/punky sounding it keeps my pace.
