I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old. I do take them to restaurants, but the 3 year old is expected to act appropriately. I have had to take her out side and explain that we are in public and you do not act that way, if it happens again we leave. I've never had to leave. I also try to keep crayons and paper in my purse to…

You look amazing, keep up the good work!

Buy the leanest meat you can. If you want actual burgers use a sandwich thin for a bun, they are less calories. Use hummus instead of mayo or miracle whip and load it up with things like lettuce and tomato. Fills you up more with the veggies. I also love the pico de gallo with scrambled burger and a little cheese. Any…

I can tell you are strong and you can do this. I do have a few suggestions that might help Take time limits off your goals. Who cares how long it takes you to get there as long as you get there? If you don't get there by that date, don't let it discourage you. The weight will come off easy to start, but it will get harder.…

#.# for me. Every little bit off is a step in the right direction for me.

I use a combination of all these things really, some days one thing works and not something else. I have a picture of me in my wedding dress next to my treadmill and I've chanted in my head "I'm coming after you" as I run because I am going after that body and making it even better. Some times the scale helps, some times a…

Wow, you look great! Congratulations!

^^ This is exactly what I was thinking!

You look like a whole new person! Congratulations!

I didn't have a change this week, but I guess a 4 week loss of 8lbs is a good healthy pace. I will try harder this week!
-
Only 2lbs to go before I reach the Overweight BMI category and I've reached my goal weight for the month!!!

Congratulations! I can't imagine doing a half marathon right now, but on Tuesday I will be doing my 2nd 5K (well really it's a 3.5 mile, but whatever). I ran this same one last year and found out a week later I was pregnant, this year I'm 3 months post partum, wonder which time will be better.

Thanks everyone! Using the MFP calculation my daily activity uses 2110 a day (without the calorie deficit for loss), so I think this week I will aim for that and see how things go. But based on my HRM I burned about 2500 calories yesterday (that's calculating for 2 hours based on my 1.4cal/min while I sleep) I'm assuming…

Thanks. I definitely drink a ton of water, besides my one cup of coffee in the morning, it's pretty much the only thing I drink. I've been netting around 2000 calories a day. Yesterday I actually wore my HRM for 22 hours to see what I burn in a typical day and it said 2364, not counting what I burned during my workout. I…

My baby girl just turned 3 months on the 3rd. My supply is definitely number one priority. I'll have to try and find the breastfeeding groups. Thanks

I love my run tones! I definitely feel it the next day when I wear those vs regular running shoes. They have started to lose the effect for me though since I've been using them for so long.

Emotional eating is a hard thing to over come. I'm pretty sure I won't ever have it completely under control, but I have learned a few things. Every time I eat I ask myself 2 things: 1- Am I really hungry? Or am I just eating because I'm down or bored. 2 - Am I going to be upset with myself later for eating it? If I still…

You can do it this week!
-
Remind yourself that you didn't get there by cheating. I actually weigh myself every day and when I see a lower number it motivates me to do the same as yesterday and if I see a higher number it motivates me to do better than yesterday and to reflect on what may have been the culprit.

Down 4.2 this week! I can't believe it, finally over that 2 week up and down!

I would try tightening the laces a little if you can, they might be loosening up, or maybe just the laces are wearing out? it sounds like they start to loosen up some home. The thicker socks sounds like a good idea too.

I just got the Polar FT40 from heartratemonitorsusa.com I used the 5% off code STAR I believe (saved $5.50) and 2nd day shipping is only $5.95 so it was like an upgrade in shipping for $0.45. My total was $110.40 and they normally run about $180

Glad to hear you are doing it the healthy way this time! I think age does have an effect, but for many different reasons. Yes your metabolism slows, but that is mostly due to our own neglect. The hard part is not letting "life" get in the way of our health. Having a full time job, significant other, children all that…

I suggest talking to him. My husband used to be that way, but once I talked to him and explained what a PITA all those things were we came to an agreement and it's not like that now.
-
What a difference! Keep up the good work!

Talk to him! If you don't feel you can talk to him about it, then I think there may be an underlying problem. I know my husband needs some reminders of what I need from him some times. My husband works a very physical job while I work at a desk all day, he had a hard time supporting my healthier eating at first because he…

I can always use a new buddy for encouragement!

I don't do anything differently as my pace outdoors tends to be faster than on the treadmill. The only negative effect this has is my endurance can't always keep up with the outdoor pace.
