I would challenege you to drink only water for a week, no diet soda or tea, and see what happens. You will be surprised!

I like weighing myself once a week. When you weigh yourself daily, you don't really get an accurate showing of your weight loss. Sodium intake can make the scale say a higher number because you are retaining more water that day, and many other factors like certain foods stay in your bowel longer, etc. I would suggest once…

Your best results will come when you truly change your lifestyle for good and do this consistently. Then you will see the weight come off and the muscle go on! You can do it. Stick to the system. It works!

My Goals: 1.Be out of the Obese BMI range (about 2 pts. to go on this intermediate goal, and then I will press on through to Healthy range) 2. Run a 5k 3. Wear LARGE size clothing (started at some 3x and mostly 2x clothing) 4. Be able to be comfortable when going swimming for the first time in my life :-)

This is probably the most informative and inspirational post I've read on these forums yet. Thanks for your honesty and candor. I'm def. sending you a friend request. I can relate with alot of what you said here and I completely agree with the things you cut out of your diet. I too have cut out sugary drinks totally and…

I have to agree with the other person that responded. Looks like alot of sugars/starches in your diet. Something I am doing is staying away from bread, pasta, rice...those types of things. When we eat bread it turns straight to sugar and our body just burns that instead of the fat we have lingering in our bodies. I've been…

You are most welcome! When I got serious over a month ago I stopped drinking soda myself....A few weekends ago I was looking at a can of MTN Dew and it had 62g of sugar...IN ONE CAN....I was just in disbelief. How I ever justified drinking the empty calories and poisioning my body with that stuff before just baffles me. I…

Wow! That's great! Going from a 12 pack to 0 a day is a true accomplishment! Thats like going from 480g (which for me is 10 times my daily limit!) of sugar turning straight to fat every day to your body actually burning some of the fat off your body! Be proud!

:drinker: This is just awesome. Much congratuations to you! It must feel good to save your own life!:drinker:
