It's NOT possible to be at a deficit and maintain your weight. You may think you're at a deficit, but you are either consumeing more calories than you think OR burning less than you think.

Remember that you can NOT spot reduce fat, so going leg extensions or lunges or whatever exercise you choose isn't going to magically melt away fat in one specific area. You need to reduce your overall body fat levels. However some great exercises for legs are, Squats, Deadlifts and lunges! :)

I don't really have a problem with a 'high sugar' diet, other then they TEND to be low in fiber. I don't really care what your sugar intake is (within reason), but make sure you are getting enough fiber. My goal per day for fiber is 40-60 grams
