Once we get into our teams, I forget to post here for the entire 5% challenge group! Maybe I'll run into some of my old friends here. We're experiencing a very cold snap right now. After the rains, the mountains are covered with snow and the wind blows the cold air right down on us. It was down to 63 this morning - almost…

Several people were curious about the food plan I mentioned that I use. "The Ketogenic Mediterranean Diet" by Robert Santos-Prowse, MS, RD This book explains the validity and success of this combination. I highly recommend it. Let me know what you think.

My calendar is already marked with "eat" for specific times. My problem is remembering to eat, or I ignore the "I'm hungry" signals, or "I'm too busy." I've been at or below my WW goal weight for about 15 years, and my problem now is that I don't eat regularly. Because of that, I ended up in the hospital for half of August…

I set 1000 steps each day using my walker, or an average of 7,000 per week. My other exercise takes place in a gym. I go three times a week for an hour each time. One of those sessions is with my trainer. She guides me in strengthening my leg that has nerve damage.

My meal plan is a combination of Keto and Mediterranean. There is a book about this combination if you're interested in finding out more.

*Yoga daily - get back to it regularly* Finish clearing out boxes after my move * Follow the guidelines I've set for healthy living * Continue going to the gym and working with my trainer * Maintain my weight goal * Strengthen my legs @gouldsgranite I also love Yoga with Adrienne!

My goal for the Winter 2024 Challenge is to continue maintaining my weight. I'm still working on strengthening my legs so I don't always need to rely on the walker. I also enjoy being an encourager to those who struggle with weight, either to lose or gain. I've been on both ends of that and I realize how much of a struggle…

I'm definitely ready! Good health, here I come!

Since my issue is not eating enough on a regular basis, I've added "food" times to my calendar along with other appointments. If I connect eating with certain other daily activities, I'm more likely to remember to eat.
-
I "forget" to eat when I'm busy or involved with an activity. My goal is to continue concentrating on eating regularly throughout the day according to the five food groups. I don't tend to snack on sweets or things that aren't good for me, so that's not a concern. I just tend not to eat anything at all, so I'm going to…

Because I'm limited to a walker, I don't do some of the exercises I used to do, like running! But I do try to get in steps even with the walker. I go to a gym regularly and work with a trainer. She works on strengthening my legs as well as my upper body. At home, I have a set of weights by my computer and I use those while…

Because I have a habit of ignoring hunger signals, my goal is to eat from all of these five food groups every day. Not eating put me into the hospital recently with "malnutrition!" Even though I thought I was eating properly, it turns out I wasn't eating enough to keep me healthy! I wasn't trying to lose weight - I just…

My overall goal is to eat regularly rather than ignore hunger signals. Sticking with MFP helps with that goal.
-
I reached my goal of 150 with Weight Watchers about 15 years ago (or more). Since then I've maintained and even lost more, which is not uncommon. I'm down to 135 now, but I need more accountability around eating. I tend to ignore hunger signals when I'm busy or tired, so I don't eat - but that put me in the hospital, so I…

July 1! I thought it would never get here! So happy to be back to our 5% Challenge for summer. Welcome to all the new members, too. Our "fame" is getting spread around!

@mkksemail - I hope you join our team (Tenacious GR8TERS)! I'd love to get to know you! You are going to love being in these challenges. Not all teams on MFP end up as active as we are, and I've made some great friends over the years.

If you have a chance to join a "Steps Challenge" in your team, I. highly encourage you to do so. I have nerve damage in my left leg and need to use a walker to get around. I made a goal of 2,000 steps per day because of the "Steps Challenge" on our Koala 5% Team. I haven't always reached it, but for the first time, I…
