  • Did we ever decide what WOO meant? I haven't read forums much lately, but it used to be both the bad woo (raspberry ketones! apple cider cures everything!) and the good woo (woohoo! Yay getting married! Yeah, I love the Bahamas!) Let's just assume it's the good one here.... Also have only been there once and it was lovely.…
  • Had a Ninja - not sure of wattage, but it's the one that comes with the tall canister and two travel mixer cups - I HATED it. I couldn't get it to blend harder fruits and veggies like apples and carrots. Always ended up with a chunky substance that was tasty, but required a spoon. If just making protein smoothies and ice…
  • Yeah, I guess that's my point. Everyone says you can juice with a Vitamix.... but the end result isn't "juice" so it's just not what I was going for.
  • I own a Vitamix and perhaps it's user error, but I can't get it to juice things. It'll puree the heck out of the ingredients, but I want juice. Thin, liquidy juice. (Note: I LOVE my Vitamix. It's worth every penny!) That said, I just bought a juicer after years of back and forth on whether I "needed" one. So far, I am in…
  • ^^Exactly this.
  • Me, me, me!! Did first workout last night and started the nutrition plan today. Going to try to stick to the nutrition as much as I can though I already know this weekend... ain't gonna happen. (Assumed risk! haha)
  • Show up. Be near pool. Boom. Amazing! Ok, maybe not that easy, but I try not to stress about such things. I was on a river tubing outing over the weekend and the ladies were all talking about their swimsuit and how they bought it to cover up or didn't like the way it fit or "hadn't worn a two piece in years" (and still…
  • A nice, cold Coca-Cola. I never drank a lot of soda. Usually one a day with lunch, but quit drinking them about 7 or 8 years ago. I remember a few months after I quit - it was my birthday - I ordered a pizza for dinner and asked for a bottle of coke. Not much beats a nice, cold, refreshing coke. And then it hit my lips and…
  • I'm on week 2 of T25 and it's awesome! (Disclaimer - I dislike exercise and I dislike exercise videos even more.) For some reason this one works for me. It's quick. You'll break a sweat. You'll work your *kitten* off for 25 minutes. You'll feel awesome when done! There's modified versions of about 70% of the exercises too,…
  • Missed my first workout yesterday. :( Was in bed all night with a massive headache and general icky feeling. Really wanted to work out, but was afraid my head might explode. Head feels better today, although the icky feeling remains. No worries though - as long as the headache is gone, I can jump around in the living room…
  • ^That's great! All measurements the same for me. Down 1 pound. Kinda a bummer, but it's also what I expected, so it's all good. :)
  • Again - same! I don't have the shoulder/ab strength to stay in plank that long! I did mostly the modified versions... I don't feel like I got as good of a workout today since I just couldn't do some of the things. If I never had to do this one again - I'd be a happy woman. hahaha Too bad I'll be doing this one again next…

  • Mine went exactly like yours did. Ugh.
  • I really enjoyed the Speed 1.0 workout this morning. I was kickin *ss until about the 20th minute and then I pooped out quickly! I still tried to keep up with the modified version and I just kept moving! My cardio needs a lot of help, but clearly Shaun T is gonna fix that. Feelin good so far! :)
  • Hello all! I'm Tracey - 33 years old (well ok, I'm 32 and 3/4 or so) and I live in Washington, DC. I will be starting the challenge tonight (drinking my shake now for breakfast!) and was looking for a group. :) I had no idea there was an official Shaun T challenge, too! I took my before pics yesterday, but I'll have to…
  • That episode was HILARIOUS!
  • (Yay search button!!!) Was wondering if anyone else was doing this. I did the DC one last year and raised a bunch of funds. Doing it again this year and am really looking forward to it! It's supposed to be in the upper 30's in DC this year - was mid 30's last year, but I don't remember feeling cold. Hopefully I can run the…
  • OMG I don't know how I forgot this stuff. It's like crack in a jar.
  • Thank you for that. I needed a reminder. :flowerforyou:
  • I know, I was being silly.
  • Showoff. :flowerforyou:
  • Any/all of the dried fruit and nuts. Sushi Orange Mango Pineapple juice There's a spinach salad mix with cranberries, blue cheese, and walnuts - so good! Chocolate Chip dunker cookies (I think they're called dunkers) Not good for you - but we all need some junk here and there. Cilantro wontons (frozen) And Two-Buck Chuck…
  • I didn't follow a particular "plan" as I'm not actively trying to reduce my cholesterol levels. I still eat eggs and red meat... in moderation. I take a multi-vitamin, but we all know that may or may not help. LOL More fruit, lots more veggies... tried the oatmeal and/or cheerios thing. I've just resigned to the fact that…
  • I've had high cholesterol pretty much my whole life. Diet and exercise do not seem to change it. My most recent test results were pretty darned high and I've eaten better and exercised more in the last 6 months than I have in over 10 years. I've been on meds for it for over 15. It sucks, but I've decided it's just a part…
  • ^^I was thinking the exact same thing. I have a British friend who points out to me that pants and trousers are not the same thing. (The way Americans use "pants" is wrong, apparently. lol) Friends in London call pitchers jugs. It was fun watching the bartender give them funny looks when they asked for a jug of beer. And…
  • OMG Make it stop. Buy a diary or something. Please. EDIT: Just saw the post above mine. Kudos. Well said. Nicely done. I love you. /EDIT
  • Alexandria for one more week... then moving up north. To DC.
  • Right Click-Save As. That's some funny stuff right there.
