  • Just my two cents - I'm 30 and have been going grey since about 15. I don't hide the fact that I color my hair and don't care if people know that I'm grey. I color my hair because it makes me feel better in public. I can't wear makeup because I'm allergic to most any makeup. I'm low maintenance as far as clothes and…
  • I'm curious how long "a while" is as the account was created within the last 18 days...
  • +1 if it's NY style cheesecake!
  • Celexa as in Citalopram? I was on it for a short time. Without too much detail, I was on depression drugs to get over a near-rape incident that lead to my divorce. While on the drug, I became a zombie and have little to no memory of that time frame which is why I stopped taking it. I didn't really eat, so I lost weight…
  • I'm 30, 5'7", and currently 212.4 and still trying to lose. My first goal is to get to 199.9, and then 175/180, and eventually to 160ish? I'm not sure for the final goal. I don't use MFP's calculations for goals, but I do use it for food tracking because it has a great database! I also go by weekly totals instead of daily.…
  • Take prenatal vitamins only if recommended by your doctor. I didn't take them because they made me throw up more. I was sick with all 3 pregnancies from 4/5 weeks until 35+ weeks, so it was recommended that I didn't lose more nutrition via vomiting. I was also told by my doctor that I should only get to the +300 calories…
  • I don't improve from negative or positive motivation. I do what I want, when I want. It's what works for me. That being said, I'm glad you found something that works for you and if it's negative motivation, then there's nothing wrong with it!
  • I call BS on this. I work full-time. I go to school full-time. I have three kids - one of which I'm currently breastfeeding (2mo). On maternity leave, I showered and carried on as normal. I didn't get a leave from school because I chose not to. I don't feel I deserve a "pass" because I've got a lot on my plate. I chose…
  • If divorce isn't a fear, then say whatever is on your mind. Honestly though, only you know what you can handle and it's your choice to make. I can't imagine that you haven't already talked to her at least once and went straight to the forums here for help. That being said, I don't think you'll find the perfect solution to…
  • I was overweight with all three of my pregnancies and my goal was to keep food down. I was sick with all of them for the first 35 weeks. I gained 11 with my first, 19 with my second, and 15 with my last. The last 5 weeks were the hardest because I was always hungry and I could actually keep stuff down. I eliminated all…
  • The day I work out, I usually end up with a deficit because I'm not overly hungry. I'm always starving the day AFTER a workout, and I always feel guilty for going over my calorie goal since I didn't work out that day. Instead of going day by day, I've switched to a weekly total and it seems to help me quite a bit. There…
  • I had the Mirena for a few years and didn't have any issues.
  • Typically I don't buy newborn stuff (diapers or clothing). Baby clothes - because you get SO much of it with a baby shower that you never end up using or the baby wears once and you have so many clothes, they never wear it again. The ONLY exception to my newborn clothing rule is buying the "home from hospital" outfit. You…
  • My birth plan is simple - I want to be induced and I'm going to attempt an epideral again (even though the first two failed). I really don't care about much else because there's no control over the things that I'd want.
  • I chose not to get any screenings done with any of my pregnancies (I'm pregnant with my third child). I wouldn't terminate the pregnancy for any reason, other than if it were impacting my survival, so I don't feel it's worth the risk. It really depends on what you would do based on the results - positive or negative. If…
  • I use ginger ale and peppermint - they worked with my first two and with my current pregnancy. I also just recently got some anti-nausea pills due to becomming too dehydrated from vomiting. They seem to help, most of the time. They're not a cure and just help ease the symptoms a bit.
  • This is my third child. I'm 2 days away from finishing my first trimester. My first two are now 8 and 6. To date, I've lost 8 pounds, but that's been typical of my pregnancies. With my first child I was 19 pounds lighter weighed after birth than pre-pregnancy weight. My second child I was 11 pounds under pre-pregnancy…
  • We're still picking through names. We're not going to find out what we're having, so we have to pick for both. For a boy, the only name we have is Ian Arthur. For a girl, we have Maiya Elizabeth or Zoey Mae. We definitely need more names to pick through, but we've got time yet.
  • I'm due 4/10 and had my first ultrasound at 6wks 1day. They had me come in so early because they went off of my last period date, even though I knew I wasn't that far along, but they had to know for sure. So far, I have had 5 different ultrasounds in my 2 appointments. I'm going to be induced a week early, so given my…
  • The ends are the best part - they had to make the entire loaf just to get it!
  • Swimming and bike riding are easy on my knees. I was told by my doctor that bike riding is a wonderful exercise because it works both sides of your knees equally. Swimming is great because it doesn't feel like work to me!
  • That's a viable option if you want to remove your brests completely! Quite honestly, it's an excuse. You could also argue that your head weighs 8 lbs, but you wouldn't want to remove that.
  • I've heard of it, and yes it is a "thing". Most people gain it because they're studying a lot and not very active. When they are active (weekends), it's associated with partying, where there is plenty of alcohol involved. Alcohol is a lot of empty calories!
  • Ok, so I'm not the only one that HATES them starting at 150 and going up and up and up! Congrats!! Some day that will be me, too.
  • I have the same issue, and mine is due to iron deficiency. Do your vitamins include iron? I agree that getting your blood tested is a great idea.
  • Here's my take: 1. Does the bag match the man? I work with a lot of programmers. They have leather bags, backpacks, and messenger bags. I really don't care. I know you're packing a laptop. Show me the specs of the laptop if you want me to be impressed. 2. Do I want to touch him? Why do I need to touch him? 3. Does he know…
  • Problem solving.
  • I don't like when the neck is larger around than the head. That's gross in my opinion, but to each their own. As for question 2, yes, there is such a thing as too big.
  • Hydroxycut usually just removes water weight - hence the name. You basically pee like crazy and then when that's done, there's nothing more to "lose". Really, you're not losing anything. I've never taken them, but my husband did when he was younger.
