DEADPOOL! :D

I did it last summer - probably going to do it again to increase my pace as soon as I've got some non-iced pavement to run on or maybe the 10K trainer. I don't remember how much I lost - for me the biggest benefit was that I finally learned to LOVE running and actually look forward to exercise. Before C25K, working out was…

I eat about 1300-1500/day. More or less depending on how much I worked out that day - I just try not to go over what MFP says by more than 100 cals. and never eat under 1200. I do not "diet". I don't even do IIFYM or anything like that - I just eat whatever I want without going over the calorie limit. I'm not cutting…

Claiming something is degrading skinniness in today's photoshop society sounds, quite frankly, a little....weird to me. Skinny is obviously what everyone is told they have to be in order to be attractive (health benefits aside - obviously; since I'm here and you should be able to tell by my ticker that I believe strongly…

Questions like this make it obvious that people don't quite understand what a fitbit IS. Asking if you should have one of these and/or an HRM is like asking if you should buy a treadmill or eat more vegetables. Both are good for you but they don't relate. The fitbit is a great motivator to be more active - it gives you an…

My Mom is in almost the same boat - she was diagnosed with Lupus 20 years ago and she's just joined MFP and gotten started with a fitbit. I've seen her struggle and I'm so proud of her! Anyone who undertakes this journey with a chronic disease like that deserves major kudos! Best of luck to you :)

Mine says 200 and I was probably 225 when I got it Novemberish? I'm down to 172 now :)

In my opinion, Shock Absorbers are the best, hands down. I'm a 36F and absolutely could not run without a really good bra. You can get a ton of different sizes and styles of these on Amazon in the $60 range. You won't find a better bra even in the $100-$200 range. At least, i never did.

I'm down over 70lbs in something like 10 months and did it with a combination of exercise and dieting - staying really well hydrated. I've got a little loose skin, but really only in one area and it's not that bad. I think it'll firm up too.

I like body-weight exercises. Free weights are good too. I'm not big on gyms.

I have both and use them both regularly. I definitely don't regret either purchase. I don't like to wear the HRM when I run and I take a lot of random short walks through the day when it wouldn't be practical to go grab my heart monitor. I work on a college campus, so I sometimes end up walking quite a ways between…

I definitely eat what I want and just watch the calories. Working great for me so far - started in August 2012. :)

Haven't tried them myself, but my roommate loves the Special K meal replacement shakes.

I'm definitely not a clean eater (I can't cook to save my life so I eat a LOT of processed food). I'm down 70lbs since July 2012. Still a work in progress, but I'm consistently losing an average of a pound a week and maintaining my muscle mass/losing body fat. I'm at a conference at the moment so I can't upload a pic, but…

I use an HRM to determine my exercise calories and let the fitbit make sure I'm active enough during the rest of the day. The negative adjustments work pretty well if you properly log the time and duration of your workouts. Just let MFP figure out your calories and accurately tell it if you're sedentary or lightly active,…

One of my main jobs is organizing events so this is a question I deal with quite regularly - we always ask for our registrants to let us know in advance if they have dietary needs (including allergies, vegetarians, vegans, etc.) Inevitably, three or four people show up to these events who did NOT let us know about these…

I use a combination of fitbit and HRM - Heart rate monitors aren't really meant to be worn all day, but I like to know if I've been active enough or more active than usual during the day. The fitbit does a good job, in my opinion, of tracking calories from running or walking - anything that involves steps, but isn't that…

Good luck! You can do it! I'm in the same boat here too, only it's my sister getting married in September. My goal is not to look like the fat chick photo-bombing the attractive family's photos this time around (it's her second wedding) lol

To everyone saying their cats are just fine after declawing - please be aware that not all cats deal well with being mutilated. I have a rescue who was declawed before I got her - she won't jump up or down off of things because she's terrified she'll go sliding off - which she frequently does, she can't defend herself…

Can I ask how you calculated your maintenance calories? I think you might be kind of way off and you're basing everything off that. Let me show you where I'm coming from, and you can correct me if I'm wrong. I don't claim to be a professional - I only know what works for me: I have MFP set to 'sedentary" and log my…

I apologize if someone mentioned this already, but just pointing out that if you set your activity level for "active" because you workout a lot, and ADDITIONALLY you log your workouts, you're counting your exercise TWICE which means MPF would be giving you significantly more calories than you should actually eat to lose…

You may be underestimating your caloric intake/portion size. Especially if drinks are your weak spot with estimating. There's a lot more calories in juice than some people think. You don't have to measure everything forever, but it might be helpful to rule out estimation errors (while training yourself to be a better…

Checking in from Muncie, Indiana! Thank you for the invite. :)

The frown-y smilie is a pretty effective guilt-tripper! I downloaded the app a while ago, but hadn't used it yet and forgot to tell it to skip yesterday since I wasn't ready to start it up. Saw that ":-(" and it definitely motivated me to try it today! lol "Don't be sad, Move! I'll exercise; I promise!"
