The vanilla is really good, in my opinion, and I like regular chocolate. I haven't tried the new greenberry. I hated the old one. I thought it tasted like I'd imagine tree bark with throw up tastes... but the new one I hear has a berry taste to it and people like it. I am not a fan of the vegan formulas really.... they…

My baby is 20 months old, but I didn't get started til he was nearly a year old. :ohwell: I love mommy support!

I second Chalean Extreme. She teaches you proper form and really gets you strong fast. AND if you don't want to invest in dumbbells, you can use resistance bands that come with it. I bought a pair of 5-25 lb adjustable dumbbells on craigslist for $60 to do Chalean Extreme.

It just adjusts your fitbit adjustment. Say MFP thinks you should be burning 1800 a day and fitbit says that your total burn for the day was 2500, but you wore a heart rate monitor and KNOW that 300 of that was from running and you entered 300 in as an activity... your fitbit adjustment would be 400 instead of 700, but…

First of all, it's wonderful that you've recognize that you have a problem and you're willing to deal with it. Have you considered going to talk to a nutritionist to help you set up a good and realistic food plan?

Me? Little of this and a little of that.... Currently I am doing TurboFire workouts most days. just whatever is on the calendar... but when it gets to my house I will start Forcus T25!!! I am pretty pumped about that. Other than that, I like to run a few times a week. Maybe half an hour running...

EIther get a heart rate monitor so you know exactly what you're burning, or figure out a gross calorie intake instead of dealing with all the net calorie confusion. Good luck!

For max results with little time, I'd go ChaLEAN Extreme. it's 3 days a week of lifting heavy (or using high resistance bands which are included with the program) and 2 days of cardio... you can skip those if you're taking care of the cardio in the gym....
-
TurboFire definitely takes some time to get used to, but once you do it's fun! Do you like the cardio DVDs in ChaLEAN? If so, it seems like you like the athletic based drills more than the dancy stuff, so Insanity?

I finish my second round on May 5. It's a life changing program!! I'm kind of addicted :) Anyway, after round 1, day 1, I could hardly walk, but after the first week I wasn't sore any more. Make sure you're doing something for muscle recovery after the workouts. Good luck!

in Shaun T's recent live chat he said that he wouldn't recommend working out on an empty stomach, but also not a full one. He said he'd recommend a banana with peanut butter, or a wheat english muffin

Anybody???

I have 2 weeks left and I'm super sad. I LOVE it. This program is FUN and it's really doing wonders on my arms and shoulders.
-
I have Polar FT4 and LOVE IT!

I started Insanity at 223.7 lbs and I am 5'6". It was crazy hard, but totally worth it. In the 2 months, I lost 20.7 pounds and a bunch of inches. Shaun T doesn't expect you to keep up with them, he just expects you to do what you can. He's amazing, as far as being motivating goes. Anyway, now I am doing Les Mills COMBAT…
-
I'll be doing Max Interval Circuit for the last time today!!! At least this round. I definitely intend to do Insanity again later.
-
Tonight I will do Max Cardio Conditioning and Cardio Abs... I can't believe I will be finished Saturday! I'm so excited to start COMBAT, but I feel like I'm losing a friend, or something. LOL. I will definitely do another round of INSANITY later on.
-
I finish Insanity on Jan 12, then will start COMBAT... so excited!
-
I am in the middle of Month 2, Week 3 of Insanity and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone (who doesn't have knee problems)... Shaun T is amazing.
-
FABULOUS improvement! I think that I am losing some improvement in reps because my form is so much better and I am taking pauses when my body starts getting a little "floppy" instead of just tryng to get as many as possible, regardless of form. Know what I mean?
-
yep, my least favorite as well, aside from globe jumps.... i hate those!

I just miss the fizzy goodness when I quit drinking it, so I just have Sprite Zero every once in a while and it helps. I've found that cutting caffeine all together and being consistent in workouts has really helped me keep my eyes open all day, even though it is so hard at first.
-
I think I did pretty well. I did have a little pumpkin pie, but I accounted for it and moved on. And I kept up with my workouts

-
Today, I did Insanity: Max Recovery and also Les Mills COMBAT: COMBAT 30 Kick Start! :drinker:
-
I also have Polar FT4 and couldn't be happier with it. It lets you use inputs, like you are talking about. I bought mine for $60-70 new
-
I have huge plans!!! I am doing Combat next, then TurboFire.... after that, I believe I'd like to do ChaLEAN Extreme... I'd also like to do Asylum and Brazil Butt Lift sometime later on as well. I'm also sure I'll do another round of Insanity eventually. I've gotten kind of attached to it

I think it depends on the HRM. The Polar FT4 and FT7 models have you input your height, weight, gender, heart rate max, and target zone, so it's able to produce a much more accurate estimate of calories burned than a HRM that simply goes by your heart rate. Know what I mean?
