I'm in! Loved the 30 by Christmas! My starting weight is 158 with a goal weight of 148 by Valentines Day. :)

Down to 159 this week. 4 lbs from my goal! Still need to pump up the running, of course it has been rainy the last few days. Clear skies ahead though!

Hello All!! I hope your weeks are going well! I am down to 162 lbs so 7 away from my end of December goal I won't be too crushed if I don't hit my goal. I'm just happy I'm losing! As far as the running goes I need to get my butt outside. I was down with the flu last week and haven't been out since. I will make time…

I LOVE Udi's bread!!! It's gluten free and yummy! As far as finding gluten free in restaurants... don't know but I will keep tabs here in case someone has heard of it.

Hello all! Hope your weekends are going well! So far so good as far as progressing with the weight loss hopefully I'll be able to hit my goal of 155 by the new year. That would be an amazing way to kick off 2011! Running is going well. The weather here is perfect lately (50's during the day and 30's at night) so I'll be…

In terms of outcry this reminds me of when I made the mistake of saying that my boyfriend and I do not own or watch television. You'd think I'd just stated that I enjoyed burning down orphanages or something.....though....sometimes it's enriching to hear things from someone else's perspective as long as it is not snarky. :)

Makes sense thanks for posting Dr. Kradjian seems to check out just fine as well. Although soy certainly isn't a healthy alternative in my own opinion. I pretty much stay away from everything that companies spend millions to tell me I need to eat. I also use milk in cooking and as a creamer. I buy local and don't gulp it…

Hello All Nom noms! Wow it's been a busy week! After re-evaluating my goals I would like to change my goal of 145lbs by the end of December to 155lbs . To hit 155 would be a ten pound loss which I think is a heck of alot more reasonable. I hope your all doing well!

For me there is always that 10 - 20 min period of intense craving where I know I'll just let go if I start eating. If I can get past that I'm A-Okay. Good for you!
-
Okay my goals for December are to be down to 145 lbs and be able to run a 5K by the end of December.

I lost a total of 13 lbs in my first month (Oct) just by eating healthy, keeping my calories intake between 1,200 - 1,500 and exercising. I was not trying to lose weight so quickly it was just how my body reacted to a healthier diet and exercise. Focus on the quality of your diet and move move move! The rest will follow at…

Hello! I just found this! I'm a non-mom and have lost 18 lbs since starting in October. My diet was awful the last 6 or so years. I estimated that I was eating between 3,000 - 5,000 calories a day and poor choices at that.

Sodium can cause the 'bigger' as for the 'flabby' after I lost about 10 lbs I noticed my stomach looked and felt slightly flabby it went away after about a week though. I think maybe the skin had to readjust to the fat loss in that area.
-
I'm so glad you posted that! I never noticed that you could add exercises until now! :blushing:

Well said!!

I understand. I know a guy (as an acquaintance) who jumped on the raw vegan bandwagon and went from being trim and athletic to looking like he just stepped out of a concentration camp. He got down to 130 lbs (he's about 6' tall) I never said anything because I felt it wasn't my place but I did brooch the subject with his…

Justin and I have lived together for seven years now. We never experienced a "honeymoon stage" due to a lot of drama going on when we first got together he is my best friend without a doubt through thick and thin. I think that we keep the spark going by just enjoying life, starting new projects together, pushing each other…

I use a HRM when I go out and just use that reading. I don't think you can add a new exercise but you can change calories burned.
-
Could also be from the obscene increase in salts and sugars. :) It's amazing how much sodium is typically in restaurant food! But hey it was one night and sounds like you guys had a great time.

I'm not sure if they check the accuracy of foods you add. I added something a while ago and it did not appear in the data base for almost a week so they most likely do. More importantly other members can vouch for nutritional info on foods added.
-
Well.... If it were me I'd see if the foods I was getting rid of were just empty calories or if they had SOME good aspects to them. If they are nothing but empty calories in the garbage they go they would not help anyone by eating them. If they have some good aspects (peanut butter crackers.....etc) Then sure take them…

I'm on a 1,200 daily goal and have stuck to it. When I exercise I eat more IF I am hungary. It was odd for the first week since I was used to eating 3,000 - 5,000 calories daily but I stuck to it. Veggies, fruit, lean meat, beans and rice! I cook almost all of my own foods which typically saves you as well. A typical…

Hey it happens. The important thing is that you are aware of the reality of factory farmed or just plain poorly treated animals. It is a very real issue that many are happy to ignore. We only eat animals that we raise or that a local farm which we have visited and know the farmer has raised. Our animals have tons of room,…

I agree while I didn't notice a change after getting rid of wheat gluten (as far as when I ate some again after being off for a while) My boyfriend stopped having what he described as heartburn after dropping it and when he did eat some bread a month later he almost immediately reacted to it.
