  • I find that carbs really bloat me bad. When I'm following a lower carb diet, the difference in my stomach is amazing.
  • I'm pretty new as well Feel free to add me. I leave my diary open too. Anyone else for matter is welcome as well :)
  • Hey we can't all be as badass and knowledgeable as you! :)
  • Did a quick search and most of what I am seeing is he actually used Derek Charlebois for his diet on many occasions. Perhaps at some point he followed some of Lyles methods, but that doesn't mean anything. Lyle alone didn't get him looking the way he does. Plus, I know guys that look better than he does and they didn't…
  • Not if the end results are looking like he does. No thank you! :) I respect Lyle because of his credentials, but to be honest the fact that I've never seen anything that suggest he actually applies his knowledge to his own body makes me take everything he says with a grain of salt.
  • It's pretty sad you have to come back with smart *kitten* remarks and images. I've looked at other post made by you and you are quick to do that to a lot of people here.
  • Haha you can buy his protein book for $49.95 to learn all about proten!
  • It has been said that whey protein is 100% bioavailable and is therefore 100% absorbed into the body. Bioavailability is how much of what you are ingesting is absorbed by the body yet it says nothing to how much is actually “utilized” by the body. The statements are correct about the 100% bioavailability yet the problem…
  • I personally wouldn't touch them. I found this post about them that has some interesting info http://fitblogger.ca/slim-fast-ingredients/
  • I have never looked at a can of slim fast but chek the labels, what's it made of, how much sugar, carbs and fat are in them? I'm sure they aren't the best out there.
  • You should consume approx. 125-150 grams a day total. Also remember to get your good carbs and healthy fats in.
  • Let me quess? Shakeology or the body by vi.
  • This must be a typo right? A scoop usually only has 20 grams depending on the brand.
  • How much do you weight? It can range from 1-1.5 grams per lb of body weight depending on your goals/and weight.
  • Of course whole foods is always best, but if you can't eat whole foods, a protein shake is ok. Now your body only utilizes about 16-17% of protein powder, the rest goes to waste, so basically you have to weigh out the pros and cons of protein powder. Your body is only using a small % of, it can also cause bloating and gas,…
  • Like I said you will find some that say it does matter! http://www.livestrong.com/article/542042-is-eating-one-meal-a-day-healthy/ Her best bet is to do what is working for hr body, no matter what someone says.
  • As I said you will find people that say it doesn't matter and people that say it does. One person off the top of my head that says it does matter is Dr Oz. he says that if you are deprived of food for longer than 12 hours, your metabolic rate can lower by 40%. So perhaps he's wrong? He's only a dr after all but who knows!
  • I've always heard by eating only one meal a day, your metabolism isn't working as hard, slows down and thus your weight loss slows. I'm sure you can find some people that say it doesn't matter and some that say it does. You said it didn't work last week, so if it doesn't work this week, I'd probably change it up. And how…
  • I drink at least a gallon a day. I buy bottled distilled water and have a new gallon everyday so it's easy to keep track how much I drink. And I usually drink about 32 ounces first thing in the morning while cooking breakfast.

  • What about whey protein shakes? You can make them with yogurt and fruit. Also they have some with weigh gainer in them.
  • You aren't eating enough. Your body has gone into "saving fat mode" because of the low calories. Really low calories works great in the beginning but it doesn't last.
  • Jesscod got missed so I'll rate. A 10. Love them guns! Anyone with muscles gets a 10 in my book :)
  • I am a huge ranch lover myself and I found this dressing a few weeks ago and LOVE it http://www.marzetti.com/products/cardinis/salad-dressings/light-fat-free-salad-dressings/cardinis-light-caesar-vinaigrette-dressing-12-oz.htm It's low in fat, sugar and carbs and taste great, doesn't taste like low fat dressing at all.
  • If your goal is to gain muscle then you need to back down on the cardio and up your protein. It's not simply about calories in versus calories out. You need to have the right combination of macronutrients for your body. Right now looking at your food dairy, you are not eating enough protein and too many carbs. And excess…
  • How come the high carb and low protein? Have you tried switching your marcros around? Adding more protein (this is what helps build muscle) and lowering your carb intake?
  • What are your macros like? And are you working out at all? And how much total do you have to lose?
  • Looks like you don't have a good balance of proteins, carbs and healthy fats. And more sugar (from the fruit) than you should have.
