  • If not too late....I would like to join.
  • Salt-free brown rice cake with a TBS of Maranatha's Maple-Almond butter, a hard-boiled egg and a piece of fruit. OR: Kelloggs gluten-free brown rice Rice Krispies with Rice Dream's rice milk and a piece of fruit. On Saturdays I make scrambled eggs with mushrooms & spinach!
  • I like the almond milk. The coconut milk not so much by itself but good for recipes. I love the rice milk by 'Rice Dream'....I use it for my cereal, which by the way, 'Kelloggs' now has gluten-free brown rice Rice Krispies! There is also a new brand 'So Delicious'.....made with coconut....it is dairy free, soy free & guten…
  • One of the best changes you could make. You won't regret it!
  • Just finished Mitch Albom's latest 'The TimeKeeper'. Just started a biography on the Apostle Paul...it reads more like a novel which I like so far.
  • Great job! I know how it feels to get positive feedback for the work put it! Got my first blood work back this week since I started in May. A1C down from 9.2 to 6.0..... I was so happy. It's encouragement to keep getting better and better.
  • Browsing in bookstores...really taking my time as if I were at the library. Which makes me think of going to the library! Surfing the net...I love to google...it leads me to so many different things....I'm easily distracted! Playing on my iPad....my Mother's Day gift from my wonderful daughter and son-in-law...lots of free…
  • That's a great idea! I find that if I am positive and have a good attitude in other areas of my life...the eating habits & exercise follow right along. If I am grumpy and unproductive...I am easier to give in to unhealthy temptations.
  • Just checking in....did my Muscle Mile Walk this morning.....anyone else on track?! Let's make it a great day! Grace and Peace, Eva
  • I have made it a habit to do the muscle mile walk dvd every morning at around 6-6:30. That would be my challenge to everyone. Take 20-30-40 minutes out of your day and do at least one of the videos or mix them up. We can all think of some time during the day that we piddle away 30 minutes of our day each and EVERY day,…
  • If you are trying to avoid most grains, wheat, gluten....Try the brown rice pasta (I use the Trader Joe's brand) I think it tastes great with their organic sauce. But I use it as a side dish and not the main meal.
  • I will.....I have still been doing my LS Muscle Mile Walk every morning at 5:30......
  • I live in Antioch on the Mt. Juliet/Hobson Pike side and work in Lebanon. Anyone else want to see a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's in other areas besides Green Hills & Cool Springs?
  • Got my new LS workout dvd last night... Walk Away the Belly Fat.....going to try it out after work....includes floor exercises....ugh! But gotta do what you gotta do!
  • Where is everyone? How are you doing on your Walk Away dvds this week? So far so good for me....waiting impatiently for my new dvds arrive. I'm ready to mix it up some more.
  • Grain free is usually know as the paleo or primal lifestyle.... It's a diet consisting mostly of fruits, vegetables, free range natural fed poultry, wild caught fish, lead grass fed red meat, free range eggs. Some do dairy products, some do not. Some do eat quinoa and brown rice, but sparingly. All foods are as fresh,…
  • I'm in for another week....it's becoming habit now! I do the Muscle Mile in the morning around 6 am....and the Strong Walk after dinner in the evening. I have ordered the Walk Away Belly Fat and then start switching up so I don't get bored or complacent. Good luck everyone!
  • Hi...I'm Eva, This is a great idea! Preparation is the key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I try to keep a mini stock of standby foods in my office, I am fortunate enough to have my own mini fridge. So I can keep dressings, string cheese, yogurt, veggies...etc. (Without worrying about any sticky fingered food thiefs!)…

  • I haven't heard of walk your belly flat....is that one of Leslie's? I really need to check that out!
  • It's not like modern or contemporary songs really. It's just upbeat background music that changes with the intensity. The dvd has 5 different workouts on it. The Muscle Mile with weights The Two Mile walk ....I like this, be prepared to sweat! The Diet Mile walk (very beginner, very basic) The Walk Strong with the stretch…
  • I have been doing Leslie's Muscle Mile Walk each morning. Walking and exercising with the two lb walk away balls at the same time. Love it and the 30 minutes goes by quickly!
  • Our TJ's and Whole Foods are right down the street from each other. I shop there once a week....I go into TJ's first to see what's on sale...they have better prices on their unsalted rice cakes, olive oils, coconut oils, almond oils, almond butter; etc. Sometimes their fresh veggies and fruits may have a better price. When…

  • Pretty much the same thing during the week.... hard-boiled egg brown rice unsalted ricecake with 1 TBS Maranatha almond butter and a piece of fruit ..... today a nectarine.
  • Sometimes it's hard letting go......I think it's less about the money or admiring the clothes and more about fear of failure and our past mistakes. Consider it clutter and let them go to someone that can get some use out of them....buy inexpensive but nice replacements to get you through until you reach the size you are…
  • What don't I love at Panera Bread?! ......I usually get the pick two half classic salad and half tomato mozzarella panini. If I get a splurge salad like Asian Chicken, Strawberry Chicken Poppyseed or Fuji Apple Turkey...then I just order half a salad. I always get an apple as a side. The breads will just suck you in. They…

  • Just got this out of Dr. Josh Axe's 'The Real Food Cookbook' ....... Haven't made it yet, but I am going to try it out this wknd on the family, if it goes over well, I'll make it again for our Women's small group next week. Crockpot Chicken & Salsa Grapeseed Oil (enough to spread with paper towel on inside of crockpot…
  • To the original poster....I have to respectfully disagree on several points. Point 1.....I don't feel calorie counting is a 'diet' killer....first of all most of us are on here not because we need to diet, but because we need to change our lifestyles...that happens to include eating, how we eat, why we eat, what we eat,…
  • Keep exercising .... using precaution of course. Soreness not pain. And a monthly massage feels great.
  • I enjoy the different options on the Wii Fit Exercise....but my favorite is walking. I can listen to music....productive thinking .....pray..... I know pretty boring....but works for me!
  • Just ate there last week with the family. Ordered grilled salmon, steamed broccoli, house salad-no grated cheese....no breadsticks. Plenty full and enjoyed the company.
