You may be small boned, but a size 1 for someone who is 5'4" sounds awfully small. Are you sure your goal is realistic? Pictures can be deceiving. Thanks everyone. I also probably should have mentioned my size. If I lose 20lbs, I'll easily fit a size 1 and probably have about a 24-25 inch waist. I'm 5'4.

I want muscle, just not a lot, because if I take a long break from exercising, the muscle turns back to fat.. and I do take long breaks because I'm bad at moderation. I either move constantly all day everyday or I don't do much except fun stuff (swimming, walking around places, dancing).

Mine is imagining someone saying that I eat a lot. If I have a perfect track record for my calories, I can show anyone who says anything.

Too many sodium-rich foods, which will make you retain water weight and it will make it harder to stay hydrated. Hydration helps your metabolism, so maybe try switching a few things around?

Push-ups seem most effective to me. Stuff that targets the muscles around your shoulders, upper arms, and chest.

I stopped drinking soda and juice a long time ago, it made a big difference. I recently started doing pilates for the upper thigh area and after two times it's already made improvements.
