*high five back* Ivreached my goal weight in October....then the holidays came along with the extra lbs! I need to learn that even when I reach my goal, I need to maintain and logging will help.

I have an older polar HRM that tells me my calories. Fit bit is out of my price range. I love knowing exactly what I burn because MFP's estimates are extremely inaccurate for me. Also, my treadmill is usually 100-150 calories too high.

Welcome!!!! Age doesn't really matter :-) Its just more similar calorie goals etc when people are closer to the same height and weight.
-
I couldn't have said this any better myself. I didn't read through MFP's posts (because the app on your phone doesn't allow it) so I learned it all on my own. Each thing quoted above is absolutely true. Instead of grabbing the can of nuts, I portion out nuts in a small snack baggie ahead of time and keep it in my cupboard.…

Hey there! We have similar goals. I sent a request.

Thank you! :-)

I don't think of the obvious...you're right, peanut butter is an easy way to eat back calories. Celery & peanut butter used to be my favorite snack as kid. Keep sharing good snack ideas! I will eat them back this week and see if I notice a change. I read another article about sodium and water weight gain. I notice that I…

Good read. I agree with it too. I laugh at people that "time" their food.

I just changed my diary settings today which dropped me down to 1200. I tend to gain muscle easily (at least I think so). I do more calisthenics than silly little walking workouts. Anyways...nuts and cheese are a good idea. I tend to not add cheese to sandwiches because it's unnecessary calories. Makes sense to eat it now!…

Thanks everyone! My working out is not messing with any relationships. I do worry if I miss a work out but I dont freak out. I have not uad a rest day in over a week. Just a realllly bad food day on Sunday haha (3500 cals :-O ) I'm glad no one thinks it's addiction. :-) Thanks for letting me vent.

I am about the same as you. 149lb and 5'5" tall. I never seem to lose weight (in numbers on the scale) but I am losing inches easily. I do at least a half hr of cardio everyday and then some strength training or vigorous sit-ups. Many people do Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. It is helpful but I hate doing the same thing…

2 cups down already this morning. :-) Pumpkin spice is back!!!!!!!:drinker:

I agree. It is no one's concern except hers what weight she is or any of that. I don't feel that she is looking for sympathy...if it wasn't for someone being nosey and ridiculous then she wouldn't have to be defending herself in the first place.

Wow, so inspirational. Great job with sticking to it.
-
Yes, I was one of those whiners but I myself have found that I've lost iches while weighing more. Love the pics. Great job!
-
Yes I do. I started working out 2 weeks ago and I lost 2 lbs in one week. Then last week I got my TOM and the scale went right back to where I started. This week I am back down to that 2lb mark. I think it was a lot of water retention and bloating.
-
I do. I seem more energetic when at this time. I do get cramps though but I push through them.
-
Is it that you have no motivation to eat or you can't keep food down? I am not an expert but if I was in your situation then I would try protein shakes or something.
-
Great job :-)
-
I log it as 22 mins of Calisthenics (or however it is spelled).
-
Thanks everyone. I guess I'll post my info: Age: 23 Height: 5' 5" Current weight: 150.0 even Goal: 135.0 Exercise: 5 days/week for 30 mins-1hr Minimum calorie intake: 1200

Interesting, thanks for the source. I don't eat more protein on purpose but I like protein bars and shakes because they're quick and fill me up

My job has a soda machine and canned sodas are 75c. I stopped carrying change and cash to work that way I CAN'T buy one. I also stopped buying them at the store. My fiance drinks regular coke and since I hate regular coke it doesn't even tempt me. If it's not there then I can't drink it :-D

I have this addiction as well. It's not so much the taste for me as it is the carbonation. Some people like beer...I LOVE diet soda. When I try to quit I get headaches and my body feels super tired. People suggest carbonated water but I don't like that at all. If you do then that would be a great replacement as it's…

Thanks everyone! With support it's much easier to stay motivated.

1) Thanks everyone! Obviously everyone says to eat more protein. I'm not sure if they're 'healthy' but I love the Special K Strawberry Protein Shake. As someone else mentioned, I try not to eat breakfast until I get to work as well. 2) Insanity is wayyyy to expensive for my budget. I have Jillian Michaels but I don't find…

I have tried Jillian Michaels. I have her 30 day shred DVD but I do not have the motivation for it. I usually just get irritated with it and turn it off.
