I think I would be very miserable on 900 calories per day for any length of time. I would probably consult with another doc. My advice - worth what you paid for it.

I had a hard time syncing them at first. I think I had to access the MFP section from my laptop (usually use my phone) and go to the "apps" page. But they definitely work together.

I listen to Jillian Michaels' podcast, and she definitely recommends Ripped as the better workout. (But I do the shred, because that's the one I have.)

I love cheese. It just needs to be worked into my calorie goals. And if I'm going to eat it conservatively, I prefer to have just cheese (or maybe with a piece of fruit) for a snack, so I can savor and enjoy.

When I was pendant with my daughter, I stopped using any artificial sweetener, and never went back, which pretty dramatically limits what cold beverages are available (without tons of calories.) But I've found a few I like: Iced green tea with mint. Unsweetened, or very lightly sweetened with sugar. A celestial seasonings…

30DS level 1 day 6. I'm alternating days of Shred with days of C25K. Tomorrow is w3d2.

I work in a public school and see what gets deemed "healthy." Like the days when the options for breakfast are a Chocolate Chocolate Chip mufgin, or a selection of cereal - Lucky Charms, Trix, or Coco Puffs. But I guess all that sugar is OK, as long as it's the school that is pushing it. SMH.

That's only 40 calories a day. I burn that twirling my hair.

I eat regular Breyer's mint chocolate chip (my favorite since I was a kid), but measure my half cup serving. I'd rather have a smaller serving of the real thing than a larger portion of a low-cal imitation.

I like the SPecial K crackers. I eat them plain, but I'm sure they'd taste good with hummus, too.

Yes, 2 miles in 40 minutes is 3mph.

Yup - I just started round 2 of 30ds - I'll be doing day 3 tonight. I'll only be doing it 4 days/week though, alternating with c25k. I got great results the first go round. I could see, and feel, the changes in my own body as I progressed.

If you're out of breath, I would guess you need to run slower. I know the C25K website says that the biggest mistake most beginning runners make is trying to go too fast. They recommend that if it is possible to run slower, than you should. I've been using a treadmill, which helps control my pace. And there is no shame in…

1oz of cooked chicken breast is 40 calories, and has 9 grams of protein. You can poach or grill a few big pieces at the beginning of the week, and add them in throughout the week.

Are you a vegetarian?

I can drink black coffee, and I like it ok, but I prefer it with some half and half, or whole milk. I used to use sweetener, but started leaving it out a couple of months ago in an effort to reduce my chemical consumption, and I don't miss it at all.

Of course it's okay. It doesn't matter if you run in a race - your biggest competition is with yourself. Beat your own distance, your own time, the little voice in your head. I'm just a beginner, but I'm doing C25K with no race scheduled. I'm on week 7 right now, and just meeting the new challenge each week is enough to…

I'm wondering exactly what you mean by "can't get through week 3." Are you unable to finish the workout, or are you just not feeling ready to move onto the next week? If you are stopping, is it because of pain in your legs/feet, or because you're out of breath?

Perfume didn't hurt at my last job interview (for my current job.) But I don't bathe in it.

Hugh Jackman. SWOON!

I don't have a bento box, but I want one.

I've been choosing Outback, Panera, Chipotle, Ruby Tuesdays, and Boston Market, because there are things on the menu that I like and know I can fit into my calorie budget. Hard to find much at Fridays or Chili's that won't push you way over your goal.

I found that the first 2 or 3 days of each level kicked my butt, but by day 8 or so I could complete the workout with what felt like a reasonable amount of effort. (And then I would move to the next level after 10 days, and get my butt kicked all over again.) I really liked the results I got, and am about to start another…

I like diet soda, particularly Coke Zero and Crystal Light. I try not to drink too much of the stuff though, because I know it's made from chemicals. With or without research, my common sense tells me that food should come from a garden, not a lab, and my body is probably better off without it.

Coffee. I use a little half and half in it, and have one mug every morning. I know I'm consuming calories in it, but it's a consistent, daily thing, and it hasn't impacted my weight loss thus far. I also usually don't track mustard, ketchup, or a slice of tomato on a sandwich.

I love the idea of running already. Which is why I'm doing C25K (week 6.) I figure eventually my love of the reality will catch up with my love of the idea. Finishing the 20min run at the end of week 5 felt pretty darned good.
