  • Took a walk this morning & started a bullet journal. The journal is pretty basic but it’s working well so far. Cooked a couple of meals on my day off yesterday that should help me with eating healthy & weight loss. I also need to limit the time I’m on social media, it’s a real time waster!
  • Hi all, I’m joining your group. I had never heard of bullet journaling before but I think I’ll give it a try. Need a push & some accountability to be more productive, think it might help!
  • I agree that it’s nice to hear how great you look after your hard work!
  • @Cindyk4919 Sorry about your injury but so glad it wasn't worse. Your a trooper for staying with us & doing what you can exercise wise! Inspiring! Finally got the spreadsheet updated for the week, I'm hoping to be better at daily logging this week.
  • @lbenson2006 Thanks for all the work you put into being our captain & keeping me accountable with the spreadsheets! I hope your work lets up soon, sounds stressful. Glad your staying on as a team member though. @135terry Your trip to Cuba must be amazing! Glad your able to fit the challenges in. Have fun!
  • What a coincidence. My nephew & his wife are vacationing in Thailand for a month so I've been seeing all the beautiful Photos on FB of his trip, looks amazing! I've been getting the videos & minutes done but not doing the eating challenge this time. I just can't think of anything that I don't eat now but would be willing…
  • Hi All! I was able to finish the walking challenge this morning & the videos last night. Not a fan of the videos but got them done! I've been under calorie goal all week & am down 0.6 lbs. Hope to keep that up!
  • "Ni Hao" to you all! I'm Connie, this will be my third Amazing Race Challenge. I skipped the last one but trying to get back into the MFP way of life & find these challenges so helpful. I'm 54 (for 1 more day!) & I live in a quiet town south of Chicago. There are plenty of hiking & walking trails in the area as well as…
  • I'm starting back on MFP after a 3 month hiatus. This will help to get me going & committed to it again.
  • 1.park further from the store entrance and away from the cart corral. 2. Take stairs into work each day. 3 flights to my floor & 2 into the parking garage 3. Walk the dog daily. She loves it but I've been lazy lately 4. Work in the yard daily this week 5. Continue tidying my home. Using ConMari method so I need to get the…
  • Hi my name is Connie I'm 54 & live in Chicago area. I was in the Winter and Spring challenges, loved them & am definetly ready for Summer! I've lost 23 lbs so far while on my fitness pal & would Ike to lose another 30 or so. These challenges are a great way for me of staying motivated & accountable. Looking forward to…
  • Yay, we made it to Mexico! I'm so glad I was on this team & got to know you all! I lost 10 lbs for a total of 22 so far! Didn't quite get to my goal but I'm happy with where I'm at. I'm joining the summer challenge so hope to see many of you there. Leanne-Thanks for all the time & work you put into keeping our team going &…
  • I'd love to join! I like that you're mixing it up a bit & sounds like another fun challenge!
  • That sounds great Leanne! I'd love to keep this Awesome team together!! Laura, glad you're enjoying your trip & getting in all those extra steps. Too bad about the Cubs game & lousy weather! Do you have a Fitbit to calculate your steps? I'm sure there's a way you can convert all that walking to minutes.
  • Welcome to Chicago Laura, hope you have a great trip! Wrigley has a great atmosphere in a fun neighborhood. The Cubs are doing well this year with great expectations, enjoy the game even if you're not a fan. Millennium park is a beautiful place to visit if you are downtown & right across from the lake. I've got my Fitbit…
  • This past week was not a good one for me as far as the challenge. I was distracted with out of town family & throwing a party for my mom's birthday. I'm sorry to have low minutes & didn't do the yoga roadblock. I agree to step it up this last week so we can finish strong!! Btw, I've never seen the Amazing Race but I'd like…
  • I'm going to go with drinking more water. Some days it seems I only drink coffee throughout the day.
  • Made mashed sweet potato with ginger & my new spice, tumeric. It was delicious & I'll definitely make it again, esp since I now have a whole jar of tumeric to use up!!
  • That's an amazing accomplishment in one year Gail! It must feel amazing! Stay committed & yes you can still exercise with a broken foot, it just becomes more challenging. I saw a post on the success stories by a man who lost a significant amount of weight & got his body in great shape while using a wheelchair, so it can be…
  • @bm1409 - thanks for the tip! I also saw tumeric used with roast cauliflower or in mashed sweet potatoes. I guess I'll decide once I buy it & see what I feel it would go well with. I'll do that tomorrow as this week is coming to an end already!
  • I don't know many spices I haven't tried. Used curry for the first time a recipe in the winter challenges so I was thinking of trying tumeric also. Just need to find a recipe to use it in!
  • I did not take photos so I'll post a NSV. This week I dragged out my sewing machine & altered some too big shirts & scrub tops. Now they fit me better & don't hide my 20# weight loss. It's funny that I'm now getting compliments on "cute" clothes that I've been wearing all along!!
  • I've listened to the relaxation video 3 times now but only remember the very beginning because to puts me right to sleep, and I mean a very sound, deep sleep! The first time I listened, I overslept & was almost late for work and that never happens to me so I'm gonna make this my nighttime routine! Anyone else try it yet?…
  • Wow Leanne, that's some dedication you've got! I finished the accountability & kettle ball challenges just under the wire! Maybe I should have listed procrastination as something I need to work on by the end of the challenge! Lol
  • I'd like to do this one again too but I'll have to see how sore I am in the morning!
  • Things I've been accountable to self during this challenge 1. Making consistent good, healthy food choices. 2. Logging in to MFP daily 3. Increasing my activity in many small ways during the day such as taking the stairs & parking further away Ways I'd like to be more accountable by end of challenge 1. Drink more water 2.…
  • I give you a lot of credit for sticking with us at such a difficult time & glad you feel working out is helping you. Don't worry about not getting all the challenges or miles in, I feel our team is so strong & supportive that we'll make sure we get it done!
