A new vehicle! I figure when I reach my goal weight, my car will be paid off so we will start looking into selling and getting me a Honda CR-V!!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I am starting a new program tomorrow (Jillian Michael's Body Revolution) and I am one of those that can get easily discouraged. Now that I have read this, I can be prepared if the scales goes up a few pounds and will push through it rather than giving up.

Something that has really helped me: crushed ice - or the kind you can buy at Sonic. I too am an emotional eater. I eat when I am bored, upset, tired, etc. etc. I had fallen into a routine of having ice cream every night after dinner while my hubby and I watched TV. Now, I grab a cup of ice and munch on it. It is cold and…

I'm starting it Monday. Can't wait!

I am in North GA and we have an Aldi. It just opened last year...I love going there!

Welcome! I have just started back with calorie counting and also have 100 pounds to lose. Feel free to add me :)

My husband tells me I'm beautiful and loves me no matter my appearance, but because I hate the way I look, he understands that I want to change. That's not to say he is totally supportive, as he will give in really quick when I mention ice cream or going out to eat! That's my own fault though...I have to be stronger and…

I have this problem right now too. I was doing great with tracking in January, but then fell off the wagon toward the end of the month and didn't really visit this site any between then and now. I had lost almost 7 pounds during the time I was active, but then it's all back on now. To me, it's as though calorie…

Though I only have one child and he's 18 months old, I totally get what you are saying. There is plenty of food for everyone, yet your teens don't always eat in moderation (like I assume you do, as you are trying to get healthy) and eat much bigger portions than the little ones, so there is none left for anyone. I don't…

Congrats! Way to go!!

That's pretty much me too. I don't care for the body builder look - where their muscles are so big that their skin looks like it's stretched thin to cover it all. With that said, I don't care for super thin guys that could afford to add on 20-40 pounds. I like them in the middle I guess.

Not sure I'd ever want to be done with MFP. When I reach my ultimate goal weight, I think I will be making much better choices and on some days, may be able to stay low on calories without even tracking. However, I think it's an accountability tool that I'll still want to use even when I'm simply maintaining and no longer…

My middle name is Nicole. It's okay, but way too popular.

A new car! My current car will be paid off the same month that I want to hit my ultimate goal, but I'm not allowing myself to even go look before I'm at the weight I want to be.
-
I think it's realistic! I am also 5'7" but my goal weight is just 155. Good luck!
-
I'm in too! I am a 26 year old mommy to a 7 month old little boy. I need to lose about 80 pounds to reach my goal!

Wow, sounds scary!! Do you have an iPod or MP3 player? I like to listen to music when I'm running. Also, you can challenge yourself and make it similar to running outside by changing up the incline.

Mine is my first name, and the year of my birth. Very original, huh?

Great job!! I've never seen a before and after like this! I want to do this when I'm down to my goal weight.

Welcome to MFP! You and I have similar starting goals weights, and I am here to shed some baby weight (plus more) as well. My gym offers Zumba classes, and I plan to try it out next week. Good luck with your journey!

i'm also here to lose baby weight. My son will be 8 weeks Monday, and I gained 23lbs while pregnant with him. I lost 18lbs of it during the first 2 weeks after giving birth, but that last 5 decided to stick around. Once I get to my pre-pregnancy weight, I still have 75lbs that I want to lose to reach my ultimate goal…

I weigh myself on Friday mornings. In the past, I have weighed everyday but have noticed that I get too obsessed with the number on the scale. For me, it's just easier to do it once a week now.
-
Hey Shauna! I have added you as a friend here. Hopefully we can motivate each other through here and on Twitter!! Good luck with your journey.

I weigh once a week, on Friday morning before breakfast. I take my measurements once a month, on the same date (the 7th). I agree that everyone does things differently, so choose a method that is good for you. Consistency will allow for the most accurate results, so just make sure you stick with the method you choose.
