  • I started 5:2 on Monday and 4 days in and 2 fasts down I'm feeling pretty good. I went slightly over on today's fast day cals but I'm not beating myself up as it was only 13 cals and it is my first week. I've managed to stay under my TDEE on both of my non fast days too so fingers crossed the scales will be nice to me on…
  • I'll be joining you in your challenge as it finishes just in time for my birthday.
  • Tesco and Asda have some really nice flavoured fizzy waters. I like the blackberry and elderflower mixed with gin, the coconut and pineapple with spiced rum and the grapefruit with vodka. The litre bottles are approx 20cals for the lot so if you measure your spirit accurately you can have a tasty long drink for under…
  • I find it goes well with mackerel as the tartness cuts through the oiliness of the fish.
  • I'm pear shaped and lose weigh off my top half first so I have prominent collarbones and a bony chest but I'm still squishy from the waist down-I wish it was the other way round. I've yo-yo'd over the past few years and at my highest weight of 186lbs I was a 38D, I'm now down to 154lbs and feel really flat chested. I had a…
  • I bought the flash originally, had it 3 days and the part of the strap that holds the flash in place snapped. I did some research online and it seemed to be a common issue so I took it back for a refund and upgraded to the shine. Ok it was about double what the flash cost but I've worn it constantly for over 4 months…
  • Mine is transferring steps from Misfit to MFP every time I sync but only giving me the calories at midnight-bizarre!
  • When I was younger and slimmer I was lucky if I could fill a 34b, I put weight on and went up as far as a 38C. I've yo-yoed for a few years but I'm now down to 152lbs from a high of 186lbs and as far as I'm concerned as flat chested as when I was younger. I went to get fitted for wedding underwear yesterday and I'm now a…

  • I love fish and have some sort of fish or seafood 3-4 times a week. I find the mild white fish like pollock go really well with 'saucy' dishes so I'll add a cubed fillet to a curry sauce for a few minutes before serving or add it to a basic tomato sauce and serve it with pasta. I also love baked whole fish like trout-you…
  • I updated mine earlier I've not had a chance to fully explore it yet but it looks more hi tech than the old version.

  • If I'm alone I'll try and eat it without licking my lips but in polite company I'll discretely lick and use a napkin for my fingers. Nah who am I trying to kid I'm like a child when I have a jam doughnut and still get competitive with whoever I'm with to see who can eat the most without licking.
  • I have these Salter scales and they take AAA batteries.…
  • If you have an Aldi near you they do a brand called Moser Roth and it's lush. You get 5 25g bars in a sleeve and they do dark choc with chilli, mint, orange and almond or just plain. The best bit is that the bars are around 130cals each depending on the flavour and they are just the right portion size.
  • I have a misfit shine and for the past few days the numbers have gone haywire. I'm recovering from bronchitis so haven't been moving much but on Friday I walked approx 4k steps and was minus 109 Cals today I've walked approx 5k steps and it's showing as minus 255 Cals. I'm wondering if there is syncing issue with trackers…
  • I'm loving Velvet Crunch crisps at the mo especially the Thai chilli flavour and all the flavours come in at around 80cals. I also get dark choc from Aldi, they do 5 bars in a sleeve and they are about 140cals. I alternate between the chilli, mint and orange/almond varieties and as they are so rich it takes me about 20…

  • I can't workout to pop or dance music, for me it had to be hard(ish) rock like System of a down or 80s rock like Anthrax.
  • I have a misfit shine and I don't find it uncomfortable at all, I have super small wrists and it fits like a watch unlike the Fitbit flex which felt odd.
  • At the risk of sounding sexist I'm loving all the fellow females who have chipped in with beer suggestions. Although I don't indulge as often as I used to I still love a good porter or IPA and exercise (walk the pub) to earn the Cals in order to enjoy it.
  • I love celeriac and use it like I would potato. One of my fave ways to prepare it is roasted with garlic then blended to a puree with low fat cream cheese. I have this with fish and veg and a massive portion is ridiculously low in cals.
  • I'm getting married in June and we've recently changed our plans and are now having a beach wedding in Thailand-eek. I've already lost approx 12lb since beginning of January and would love to lose another 14lb+ by the time we fly out. The date has been set for about 18mths and I thought I had plenty of time to lose…
  • Even though it's about zero degrees, blowing a gale and sleeting I walked the mile to the gym, worked out and walked back just so that I wouldn't break my every other day gym streak.
  • I was vegetarian for nearly 20 years but I'm now pescetarian and eased myself back into eating fish gradually. I love spicy food so started to make Indian or Thai dishes as it helps to disguise the fishiness. Maybe try salmon pieces in a red jungle curry or salmon fishcakes with a chilli sauce.
  • I did pro points and dropped 3st fairly easily. I then learnt to 'cheat' and would make massive bowls of no point curry and fruit salad and 'spend' my pps on wine or cake instead. Unsurprisingly I put 1.5st back on as although the meals had zero points they had a shed load of calories!!
  • My morning commute normally involves 2 buses but since going back to work after Christmas I've started walking the mile and half to the bus station and back instead of getting the first bus. I think for this week I'll log it as exercise as it's additional to what I would normally do but after that I won't log it as I'll be…
  • I'm lucky enough to get subsidised gym membership through my employer so only pay £12 a month for unlimited gym, swim and classes.
  • I did WW and lost 3st relatively quickly but when I got more used to the diet I started 'playing' the system. If I knew I had boozy night out coming up I'd eat no point fruit and veg all day so I had all my pps to use on wine. On those days I could easily polish off a bag of apples and 3-4 bananas so could potentially eat…
  • Only half a pound for me this week but I'm not really surprised. I over indulged on Saturday night then fell out with my partner on Monday so didn't eat from Monday-Wednesday but made up for it yesterday!! Well it's a new week now so onwards and downwards.
  • I'm currently eating a 25g bar of dark, mint chocolate-mmmmm. I probably have something similar 3-4 times a week within my cals. It stops me feeling deprived and as it's so rich a small bar takes about 20 mins to eat and feels really decadent

  • I'm 36, engaged with no kids and no intentions of ever having any. No furbabies either as don't really have the time for them but I do have several doggy 'nephews and nieces' including an adorable 18 month old Dogue de Bordeaux that my sister rescued.
