soooo how is everyone? I'm getting back on track after stalling out over the holidays. Nothing lost, but nothing gained. We started a Biggest Loser competition at work, so I'm hoping that helps me kickstart myself. I wanna win this!!

I'm starting to get healthy now so when we want to start our family in the next year or two I will (hopefully) have an easier time getting pregnant and have a healthier pregnancy. I also wanted to make sure I could pass on healthy habits to my children so that they won't end up with type 2 diabetes (which runs in my…

Filling vegetables :) I've been chowing down on salad when I get hungry at night now, but I like lettuce and spinach without and salad dressing. Fruit is good too.

Oh and how do I get my ticker in my signature for the posts? Help me out! :)

Ok. So I've been at this for a week and most days I did ok. I was bad yesterday and today, but physically feel lousy for it, so this should be workable. I also have a couple of diabetic ladies at work who are helping me out with what to eat, and I'm really good about logging in what I eat so I just look at the nutrition…

I just got a cookbook called "Dropping Acid:The Reflux Diet Cookbook and Cure". It lists the Ph of lots of foods and has a ton of recipes in it. It should help with GERD. We just got it yesterday, so I can't really say how much it helps yet, but my bf gets really bad reflux and we are hoping it will help.

There is a UFC game out, but I don't know if it's only kinect (XBox) or not, but that might be fun. If you like Jillian Michaels, I think she has a workout game, or there's always dance games. Dance Central starts off easy and as you progress the moves get harder, so you don't have to be super coordinated to play and it…

I just got told I am pre-diabetic. So any help you guys can give me on foods would be greatly appreciated. :) I decided to lose weight about 2 months ago to avoid getting Type II since it runs in my family. Feel free to friend me if you want.

Forks over Knives has a cookbook out now. I just got told I am pre-diabetic, so I'm kinda going through this for the first time. There are some diabetic websites out there that might help identify foods that are better than others, but from what I've seen so far today, low GI (Glycemic Index) foods are what you are looking…

If you are accurately tracking your calorie intake and exercise and are coming in under your total calories without starving yourself, and you still aren't losing weight, you might want to see your doctor. It could be stress, it could be a thyroid issue, or any number of things.

I think it has more to do with your sizing on the bottom than height. I'm 5'10" and the smallest I ever was in their panties was medium when I was a size 8

Find some healthy things you like. I started buying fruit like peaches or apples since I really like to eat it. From there, I told myself I have to have a salad at least once a week. I got used to eating that stuff and it makes it easier to eat it more often since I got used to it. I'm doing okay with it (only been doing…

I drink water if I have to have something, and brush my teeth if I haven't already. Eating something after brushing my teeth just makes it taste horrible. :P Keeps me from going snack crazy at night.

I use the app on my phone. I like to compare all the numbers day by day or week by week. It's like scoring myself, and I always want to get a good score. Losing 6 lbs so far helps me stay with it. It's still a challenge, but I don't dread it.

If you go to a gym, use the inner/outer thigh machine. It's good for that.
