  • I drink 3-4 cups of green tea ON TOP of my 8 glasses of water per day. I don't count anything else as water but my water, and anything with caffeine (my green is not) I have an additional glass of water for (coffee/tea). I pee alot for sure, usually up once throughout the night. I try to limit my water intake in the…
  • I weighed my highest the day I went in to deliver my son, so some (less then 20lbs) was attributed to having him!!! :) The rest came off with MFP and a few weeks of WW thrown in here and there to switch things up. I find if I spend too much time doing the same thing I get stuck. So I either need to try out a new eating…
  • Here's some info on it: www.17daydiet.com There are also quite a few FB groups on it and it aired on The Doctor's & Dr Phil. Essentially it's a weight loss plan that focuses on carb cycling, it is restrictive but with each cycle comes new foods. There are 4 17 day cycles, the 4th being maintenance.
  • In theory it sounds great, in reality, not so much. 900 calories per day isn't a healthy amount either. 1200 is the min anyone should really be eating. And the thing is that working so hard to lose 1lbs per day through exercise will likely cause your body to break down before the weight comes off. Our bodies are designed…
  • Feeling super bloated this morning. Up 1.4lbs from yesterday. I think I had way too many salty things yesterday and the few glases of wine probably didn't help either!!!LOL Lots of water to drink today!
  • My hard work paid off! I lost 3.6lbs this past week and am feeling great!! Went bathing suit shopping yesterday for our upcoming trip and it wasn't as dreadful as I thought it would be!!This morning I hit 80lbs lost since Jan 2010!!! 22lbs left to my ultimate goal and maybe I might push for another 10lbs after that! We…
  • I totally hear ya about the last 20! I feel like these last few pounds are taking forever to get rid of. In the beginning losing 2lbs per week was the norm for me and now, heck, I'm happy with 0.5lbs per week! I wish it would come off faster, but slow and steady wins the race - right?!! Congrats on your success so far!
  • Good for you!! I too use to be a slave to the scale, weighing myself every day or every other and getting angry and upset with the results. So I too have hidden the scale and will only pull it out every 2 weeks or so. It's hard at first to get use to not weighing in all the time, but it's for the better of my mental…
  • Awesome progress!!! It's amazing what taking pics can do for us and shows us that we've done better then we've thought!!
  • I find for me it takes a good week for my body to get use to a big change/addition in exercise. I would give yourself another few days and then weigh again. Are you eating more calories the days you are working out more?
  • See I think for me I actually think about 'cheating' way more then I do. If I stop for a cup of tea I think about the donut/cookie I could order and eat with it, but I don't. Or I cruise around the grocery store and think about the chips or ice cream I could pick up and eat but I don't bother. It's like my mind is always…
  • Thanks all! Love the rice cake idea and the natural PB (LOVE PB!). Will increase my water for sure, I also have been having a green tea or herbal tea of some sort when I get those hunger pains. It's so weird. It's not all the time, just a few days each month where I could eat the entire contents of my fridge!!LOL What's…
  • Awesome responses guys! Thanks so much!! I think one meal/snack would be enough for me. I am always so conscious of what I eat so that I probably wouldn't be able to go full force for a full day anyways. I don't really crave much as I've been able to find pretty healthy options for the foods I typically love (pizza, pasta,…
  • Thanks for all the suggestions ladies! Will try some of those sweet snacks out the next time I get the craving!! I posted this in another thread but does anyone ever get those days where you feel like you are starving all day long? It's so weird. I could literally eat everything in sight. I don't of course, but the hunger…
  • I am praying to be down a few pounds when I weigh in next. I have put my scale away for 2 weeks though. I was weighing every other day or so and getting super discouraged when the scale wasn't moving in the right direction. So we will see what kind of results I get in 2 weeks! I find that I crave alot of sweets, especially…
  • Hi! Is there room for one more? I am a SHAM to 3 - my oldest is 3.5 yrs, my middle is 2 yrs and my youngest just turned 1 in Jan. I started on my unofficial journey to lose weight after I delivered my youngest. The day I went in to deliver him I weighed in at 252lbs - the heaviest I have ever been. Since then I have…
