OK, I'll join in. I lost nearly 50 pounds, slacked off when a lot of stressful things at once hit me during the spring, and ... well, when I'm not intentional, I sabotage myself. I've gained about 20 of it back. And now it's Christmas season, SO ... My goals for December are to weigh less at the end of the month than the…

The person's name is clearly legible. It should have been blacked out. Whether he's right or wrong isn't the point, bottom line. The waitress clearly violated a privacy issue.

That is so AWESOME! I love those victories.

Good food for thought! I use a spreadsheet at work to motivate me on my performance numbers. I didn't think to do this in real life. Thank you ...

I'm planning to make sure there's turkey, a simple fruit salad, and mashed potatoes with butter available as a minimum, even if I have to pass everything else up. My daughter needs to be GF, too, and I'm hoping he bring a GF pie to the dinner. He gave me one for my birthday and got his first kiss on the cheek from me!

I'm from NE Washington, and we have snow! ... My goal this month, on top of counting calories and moo-oo-ving my bod, is NO SUGAR. (Thanksgiving is the exception.)

If you count yourself as sedentary, that means you're up very little doing things on your feet. If you're up quite a bit doing things but they're not strenuous, you might count your baseline as the next level up from sedentary. Then a few more calories are factored in automatically. Personally, I have a desk job and I…

I've always loved Jim Croce's music. I keep wishing someone would get smart enough to induct him into R&R's Hall of Fame.

I love using my Fitbit.

Spokane, WA. I've noticed the same effect. I'm wrapping up my exercise and my last little snack long after some of my friends are in bed. But ... I have a few East Coasters who are sometimes up surprisingly late.

I thought for a second you were talking about Bobby Kennedy!! LOL!! OK, I'm showing my age. I was so busy having babies in the 80s that I wasn't watching when J.R. was shot! Whenever I see Larry Hagman I think of "I Dream of Jeannie", not "Dallas".

I had forgotten about candy cigarettes! Now there's a blast from the past. l remember my mom making my watch JFK's funeral, in real time. I also remember the moon landing in real time, too. I remember the Wizard of Oz being aired once a year (and what a big deal that was!!) I remember when hand-held calculators were first…

I am fighting, fighting, fighting to get my health back, and to keep it from slipping completely over the edge. I a pre-diabetic, pre-hypertension, post-sciatic damage, current glaucoma, and everything else under-the-sun. Oh, yes, and overweight. My doctor told me to lose weight and get moving. So I am. I refuse to be a…

When I weighed 125 I could go to the size 8 rack, pull off anything that looked cute to me, try it on and ... it looked cute ON me as well! That's my goal again.

THAT'S a good philosophy to keep in mind!

Hmmm ... in Spokane at 10:56PM it's 70. I think it hit around 90 earlier today.

I enjoy a drink now and then to unwind after work, but I don't have more than one. I'm 53 and I've never been drunk. However, I have now learned the hard way that alcohol aggravates neuropathic pain. SO ... I don't drink now.

Well, for sure we can learn things from occasional binges. Such as why we wanted to change our diets in the first place... and maybe what our emotional triggers are that make us go past a few spoonfuls to a full-on binge. Don't give up and don't beat up on yourself. Hang in there. As Scarlett O'Hara says, "Tomorrow is…
