Personally I prefer to lift in Twinkies. The standard Twinkie weighs approximately 43g. If there are 453.5 grams in a pound that comes out to about 10.5 Twinkies per pound. Or one Twinkie is 43500kg! even in lbs, 210 Twinkies for a dumbbell curl makes me sound like a beast, weather toning or building muscle!

In the past I have usually added something such as daily Mass or Liturgy of the hours, or Adoration, so sacrificing my "time" , this year I think I am going to spend more time in scripture and also I am giving up raising my voice and cuss-words... Hopefully they stay gone!

Hey man, I'm into bodybuilding too. I'm in a wheelchair, and am currently training for my 3 year goal of entering my first WCBB competition. Feel free to add me.

I play basketball, spend a lot of time outside in the woods, Off Roading if you will, hunting, fishing and archery.. All good exercise. Resistance band training, even use some of the cardio equipment at the gym, like sitting in front of the bike that has the handles that pump. Tennis, Hockey, and Weights, Weights, Weights.…

I do a lot of "pushing", swimming, and resistance band work. There are also a couple of workout vids on you tube for spinal cord injuries, they are very low impact, and focused on upper body only. I also do quite a few pushups, and weighted crunches right in my chair by adding dumbbells to the foot rest and doing wheelies…

Holy cow, that is awesome! You must not live too far north though, too much snow here to walk 7 miles ;)

Anyways, those are just a few qualities I have found to make an awesome person, but you need not possess any of them to add me! I'm just looking for people that are motivated, serious, and funny.

Wow Jim, what a story. They say that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and you have definitely taken that step! I wish you the best of luck, and like anything else in life if you put your mind to it, prepare, and apply yourself, you Will turn things around. God bless you man.

Lifting heavy, a *man after my won heart, lol. Good job on getting back to it though, best of luck.

Good for you man, it takes a lot of chutzpah to pick it back up after a relapse brother, commendable and impressive. Never surrender.
